Trip Type: Romance Review 1 of 11low rate motel would be better
Upon check in we had to switch rooms three times: fist because the AC didn't work (downtown Phoenix and no AC), next because the amenities paid for weren't available, then we settled on a room with two queens (it was our anniversary and two beds weren't needed). Next the hotel condition. Aside from the poor paint, and mismatched decor, the ice machines were broken (again, summer in Phoenix)the AC in the elevators didn't work, the elevator broke down (no one on board), and the staff pointed fingers at each other whenever there was a problem. The internet connection was down and the beds were only slightly more comfortable than a hotel room. There were more problems, but there were some good points, entirely dealing with location. The hotel is right at a Metro light rail transit station, and close by some really good restaurants. However, the experience would have been better at a low rate motel.

Trip Type: Romance Review 2 of 11Nice little hotel. Wonderful staff.
We just wanted a little weekend getaway and found a super rate at the Lexington. They we tremendously accommodating. Our room was very nice with a patio door right out to the pool. The hotel is smaller, as is the pool, but we found it quaint. The bed was super comfortable and the staff was terrific. Very nice.

Trip Type: Romance Review 3 of 11Needs Improvement
This hotel is okay but our room was falling apart. The lamps above the bed were barely attached and really needed to be replaced as well the socket where they were plugged in behind the beds were loose. The toilet used too much water as well.

Trip Type: Romance Review 4 of 11Good hotel for the price.
They had the most comfortable bed and pillows that I have ever slept with. They offered a full breakfast for $5 that was delicious. They had a nice pool (needed a little attention). They allowed us to have a late check out. Pretty view of the mountains. Located downtown. It was a very large room.

Trip Type: Romance Review 5 of 11Nice Location and Friendly Staff
The outside of the building isn't that impressive as other hotels you may see down Central Ave but its what's inside that counts. The staff was very friendly and professional. The room was spacious, clean, and well kept. We were able to leave our car at the hotel with no problems and used the low fare public transit system. A Light Rail station is right across the street. The Light Rail made it easy to explore downtown Phoenix's museums and stadiums within minutes of departure. On the other side of the street is a friendly coffee shop if you choose (or wake up late) to skip the complimentary breakfast (which has a good selection to choose from). There's also a couple of trendy clubs/bars about .3 miles down the street, if you're into that scene. Our trip was for a romantic weekend getaway and the hotel was definitely relaxing. We would definitely consider staying here again, especially for the reasonable price.

Trip Type: Romance Review 6 of 11Good bang for the buck
This hotel was a good value for the rate we got based on the following: 1. The room was roomy, including a desk and loveseat. 2. The staff was friendly. We had brought a bottle of wine but forgot the opener. I went downstairs to the bar to have it corked and they threw in some glasses of wine and an ice bucket for free. 3. The location was a short drive from the downtown area. We probably could have walked, if it wasn't for the Phoenix sun.

Trip Type: Romance Review 7 of 11Great Staff
The hotel is in the middle of a franchise change, so we hope that the minor maintenance issues will be addressed. Most of the staff was great.... especially the driver, Martin! Light rail is right out the door and totally worth the experience! The complimentary breakfast really needs improvement, being mostly cold cereal and toast.

Trip Type: Romance Review 8 of 11ok room for the money
the room is ok.. clean & spacious. not as close as I thought to the U.S. Airways... but good walk. Although it was a planned get away for me & my husband, we did not get the room I booked online for the king bed. I asked about it & the lady at the front desk was very blunt and said thats all they have and they cost the same. I was not too happy about that but we were in a hurry to get to the game.

The location was good. I requested a single king room and got a room with double queen beds. Other then that, this hotel met basic needs.

Trip Type: Romance Review 10 of 11Good location to downtown, but make sure you confirm your room accommodations before your trip.
This hotel is ideally located near the downtown area which is why I chose this hotel, however, I didn't end up with the room accommodations that I reserved. They claimed to be overbooked and was disappointed that they could not accommodate my reservation request.

Trip Type: Romance Review 11 of 11Not bad at all!
We recently stayed at the Best Western Central Phoenix Inn and we were very satified with our stay. We were on the 7th floor and had a great view of the city. The hotel staff was friendly, helpful, and courteous. The only thing we have to say is that we thought it was odd that there was no room service menu in the room. We were told we had to go to the restaurant to get a room service menu, which kind of defeats the purpose of room service. Also, the flooring in the room could stand to be updated. However, the nice staff and convenient location, along with the reasonable price, made the hotel stay worth while and we would for sure stay there again.
