Hotel needs much improvement. Needs to be updated. Family that owns it are not very polite and one is very rude. He told us to get off the rope when we were just going underneath it. We didn't want to go under the water. He comes out and tell us to get off. No water pressure in my sink. Towels cheap and very rough on your skin. A certain smell in the halls. I would consider going elsewhere.

The staff here was extremely friendly and the service was wonderful. My complaints have to do mainly with the upkeep of the building. I was expecting a non smoking room, which I got, but of course at some point, had been smoked in as the pillows, and bed smelled like smoke. The interior of the entire building was humid and musty. The floor of our room had an actual hole in it covered by carpet. We had to be careful where our daughter was stepping. The walls were dingy, and there was a major patch job done that wasn't even repainted! The tile on the bathroom floor had been repaired, and the repairman did a horrible job! The continental breakfast leaves something to be desired. We were surprised however, to find when we checked out, that we actually received a lower rate than we had originally booked, what a lovely surprise. Room was still just ok for what we paid however.

check in was early, 1400 which was a nice surprise after the long drive. we stayed in the building with the front desk, not sure if all buildings on the property are maintained at the same level. room was clean and smelled clean (we had a non-smoking room), air conditioner worked great, water came out brown in the tub, but when ran for about 10 seconds it cleared up. room had microwave and small refrigerator, so we went to the super wal-mart that was close by and bought dinner. we'd had lunch at the italian restaurant across the parking and it was "most excellent", the servings were huge and their sweet tea was just right. the pool was just opened so the chlorine level was strong, given a day to settle down it would have been just right.
