Loved the grounds and outdoor pool

We had a large, corner fireplace room in the building next to the pool and spa. The room was extremely clean, the refrig cold enough to freeze items, 2 sinks (one outside bathroom), and a comfortable king bed. We played tennis, walked the English gardens, and spent most of our time in the outdoor pool and waterslide. The water was warm enough to get in without 'adjusting' with each step, yet still refreshing. All in all, a great experience!

Needs lots of improvement

When we arrived at the hotel, the receptionist told us that no room where available right away even though we made a reservation. We had to wait 15 minutes before one was available. We upgraded to a suite wich had a queen size ssofabed. The mattress was so worn out i could feel every spring and the sofa bed was falling apart. When I laid down my feet hit the ground since 6 out of the 10 springs that hold the mattress where missing. For the money we being charged it should have been a much better room. We complaint and they sent an "engineer" he said he could fix it with a wire! WHAT!!!! a wire!? We complaint and they gave us our old room back. The bathrooms are not very clean. They have white tile and the grout was black and mold in the tiles in the shower.

Pretty Hotel. Not Great Service.

Founders Inn is a nice property. The rooms are comfortable, the fitness center is terrific...modern and clean equipment and free weights. The service isn't great though, not like you'd expect for the fine appearance of the property. We asked for a quiet room and were given one across from the elevator, the restuarants are slow, expensive for the quality of food, the wait staff is friendly but not that well trained.

Needs new mattresses

This is our fourth stay at the Founders Inn, but the mattresses and boxsprings have been in serious need of replacement each visit. We had to put a pillow in the middle of our queen-size bed to keep from falling in the hole in the middle of the mattress. When we mention it to the front desk staff, they say nothing, but just roll their eyes. I guess they have heard it before.

Beautiful hotel

Found a great rate on the internet. It is very a attractive, well kept facility. We wi;; stay there again.

Exceptional

Everything about the hotel is exceptional. The hotel itself is beautiful, the rooms are comfortable, clean and maintained beautifully. The staff is friendly and helpful. The Swan Terrace is a bit pricey, but the food is excellant. The Muffin Pan isn't exactly as pictured by for a quick breakfast, not bad.

Great Hotel

This hotel was fantastic. All the staff was great. It was beautiful and the rooms were very nice. The beds were great nice and soft. The pool was really fun for the kids. It is only about a 20 min. drive to the beach. This is the best hotel I have ever stayed in.

Wonderful Stay!

My husband, 2kids & I had a wonderful stay. Love the old colonial feel & european elegance of this hotel. Very peaceful & comfortable stay. Great pool & health center. Would definately stay again AnyTime! Loved it!
