Ocean Suites

Very nice

This was our second stay in the same room, by chance. Everything was very nice. The staff was very courteous and helpful in all respects. They even called to let me know a tire was low, and directed me to a local shop who also gave great service at no charge. Thanks!!

Good value.

We wanted a value hotel at the beach and that's what we got. The bedroom was extremely small, and the kitchen/LR area not much bigger, but the view of the ocean was terrific, the bathroom was clean, and the convenience couldn't be much better. The staff was friendly and helpful and parking was on-site undercover. Next time we might spend a few more dollars to see what better rooms might be available but there were no surprises here.

Affordable and Great location!

I loved that it had a garage style paking lot. The suite was small but it served it's purpose. The bedroom was exactly that...a bedroom. Enough room for the beds only. The staff was friendly and I would stay there again.

Nice older hotel in great location

just what i expected

well, the room looks exactly like the picture. every member of the staff was friendly & helpful. the only negatives would be that you only get one parking spot. no problem for us, but if are meeting up with people & sharing a room, this might be a problem. Also there never seemed to be enough clean, dry towels by the pool, but again no problem for us, we just used our own beach towels. The location was great, right on the beach. The sliding glass doors were great. the fireworks were right out our door. The balcony was just right. I did notice that while our room had a mini full size fridge with freezer, the room next to ours only had a mini dorm style fridge. still no big deal, just letting you know. It was nice having a regular fridge. The only real issue I had was with the pull-out sofa bed. Totally springy & uncomfortable. The kids wanted to try it out, they couldn't sleep in it. Luckily we had 2 double beds in the bedroom. Overall good hotel. Might stay there again, we'll see.

Great room for a great price!

My husband and I with our two children, ages 2 year and newborn, took a last minute trip to VA beach and booked this hotel for a great price. We were very impressed in the newly renovated rooms. The employees were very curtious and helpful. The location was great for all types of things to do. There was only one elevator, but it didn't seem to be a problem for us. We will return to Ocean Suites!

Best Hotel For The Money

Loved the view, and very friendly staff.

OK room for the money

Room is really samll, barelly can put down the bigger luggage. Location is the best for the price. good they have a mini kitchen in the unit which is convenient. the carpet and coach looks dirty. the shower pressure is very low, take longer time to rinse clean... Overall is a not bad choice for the price...

small rooms

it's where all the action is. newly remodeled but the rooms are very small. the building needs some renovations. it's right on the beach and if you just need a place to crash then the price can't be beat.

This hotel was great!

We read all the reviews on this hotel and although most were positive there were some reviews that raised concerns. After our 5 night stay, we would recommend this hotel to anyone! You have to understand that this is an older hotel -- it is not one of the new chains and if you are comparing it to that you will not be satisfied, but if you are looking for a very clean, friendly, affordable hotel in a great location in the resort area this is a great place to stay. The staff was excellent -- very friendly and helpful. The room was super clean. It is a no smoking hotel which we loved. As for some of the negatives that other people have mentioned -- yes, there is only one elevator and it is a little slow but is is serving 8 floors. If you can't take the steps, this is a little inconvenience you will have to contend with. Some said the office is small -- it is but how big does it have to be for you to check in? Some said the parking is tight -- it is but no more then the parking lots in most of the other hotels here or in big city areas. The pool is small as are many of the others but it was very clean and convenient to access. As I said the rooms were very clean. My wife was impressed when she saw them pulling a vacated room next to us all apart so they could thoroughly clean it. There were some areas of rust on some of the steps and some paint peeling in some areas but this was minimal -- did not affect our stay and again remember this is an older hotel. We will stay at this hotel again with hesitation on our next trip to Virginia Beach. Give it a chance and you may be pleasantly surprised!

Nice Place

Overall all it was a very nice place to stay. It seemed like it was newly remodeled. The thing that disapoined me was. I didn't get a room with a balcony, It was a first floor room.Maybe I should of asked for one before going.
