Consider the price

Before booking this hotel room, I read other's reviews. One stated the room looked just like the photo, and the other said the walls were paper thin. Both were correct. Another said the staff was very friendly. That was also true. If you're looking for luxury, this isn't the place. If you're looking for a cheap room that's nothing fancy (older and a bit run down), but acceptably clean and a decent sized space - than this hotel will do. The positives: ocean view rooms with (small) balconies, flat screen tv, full sized fridge, clean bathroom/kitchen/sheets/towels (bathrm & kitchen seemed recently remodeled). The negatives: an early wakeup call that I hadn't requested, a thermostat that wouldn't stay at the temperature I set it for (and no listing on the phone/in the room to call the front desk), and, as mentioned above, thin walls. If you're a light sleeper, I would suggest bringing earplugs to drown out noises from neighbors and traffic. If you're not a light sleeper, you'll probably be able to sleep through the various noises for the most part. Tip: request a higher floor to help drown out street traffic/noises. Again, it's a clean, decent room for the price w/an ocean front view. I hope this review is helpful. Safe and happy travels!

Nice room for the money

This is an older hotel that must have recently been remodeled. It is right on the boardwalk and all rooms have ocean views. The room was very clean and had a full kitchen. There is a seperate bedroom with 2 queen beds, and there is a couch that opens into a bed in the kitchen/living room area. You could easily sleep 6 people here. The only thing I didn't like was the small balcony, but other than that it was fine. Although, I did have trouble finding the office. You have to drive into the parking garage to get to it. Overall, I would recommend this hotel.

Exactly What WE Wanted

The Ocean Suites was exactly what my girlfriend and I were searching for. I am a participant in the big sand soccer tournament every year and our hotel balcony overlooked some of the playing fields. The hotel was clean enough, although they could dig into the nooks and crannies a little better. The bed was comfortable. The shower was awesome!!! After 4 sand soccer matches on Saturday, this was essential. Front Desk was helpful as needed, but we knew what we were in for. It was a great place to rest and recuperate. I would absolutely stay there again next year.

Ocean View for Less

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and convenience of the ocean front room I booked online at Ocean Suites in Virginia Beach. Exceptional value for the price and perfect location for boardwalk and beach fun! I would recommend this hotel to my friends and family in the future.

Nice room for the money

The hotel from the outside could use a face lift. But, when we got into the room it was nice. Flat screen TV, a couch and a little kitchen area that was nice to have to cook meals. They gave you dishes and etc. to use if you needed. The bedroom was small, but it had to beds in it and gave you enough room to do what you had to do in the bedroom, which was to sleep. It was a great price and we had an ocean view. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Pleasantly Pleased

The location was great. The staff was friendly and courteous. For the rate we paid, we were quite satisfied. The only issue and it is minor, was the condition of the sliding glass doors. Since the view is a major selling point for this hotel the sliding glass doors allowing that view should be kept clean. Ours were dirty could almost say filthy and theres no screens to keep the bugs out.

Great room for the money

While the hotel registration staff needed to be more friendly, the hotel room was clean and very nice. The parking has a lot to be desired though. I would stay again!

Still Under Construction

I had noticed this hotel before and it always seems to have a look of being in repair. The Suite I was in had plenty of room in the leaisure area and yet the beds seems to be staked on each other with no room to move. My two boys loved the bunk beds, and tried to entertain them selves by throwing each other off the top bunk. The hallway was cinder block walls with a coat of paint, so it felt kind of institutional. Right next to the beach though and so convinece there.

Good value

We went in October - off season. Room was neat and clean and a good value.The hotel is older and small in comparison to surrounding hotels but new ceramic tile on the floor and new counter tops.
