Wyndham Phoenix - Downtown

JR. SUITE IS VERY ROOMY, WE HAVE STAYED ON TWO OCCASIONS AND PLAN TO STAY AGAIN.

VERY COMFORTABLE, LARGE ROOM, STAFF VERY ACCOMADATING.

Why do I keep staying here?

I know why - it's the price. It's lower than the Hyatt or the Sheridan, which are the other two similar options downtown. The room was fine, but I was upset there was no self-parking, only valet parking at $23 per night. The last time I was at the Wyndham there was self-parking. The rooms were nice though, and the location good.

Outstanding Staff

I had flown into town to attend my mothers funeral. My wife and sister were to goin me at the hotel. Upon arrival I found out that I had failed to conferm my reservation and did not have a room reserved. Due to a confrence in the area the hotel was booked for the type of room I needed. I was directed to the Manager (who's name I regretfully have forgotten)who helped out and made the neccessary adjustments to accomadate my needs during a tremendous time of grief. He went above and beyond. A++ service.

Very Nice Hotel Downtown.

Very Elegant Hotel with very nice, clean, modern rooms. Was within walking distance to restaurants and night clubs. Only small complaint would be parking, since all parking around hotel is metered and the hotel charges for valet parking. However, this will not discourage me from staying at this hotel again.

Outstanding Hotel

The Wyndham was very friendly and I found the service to be excellent. The room was comfortable and quiet.

RIght Downtown...

We stayed here because of an event in their ball room. The hotel is an old Phoenix landmark, completely modernized. Everything was nice, comfortable, and clean. Service was great. Everyone complains of the $23 parking fee/day, so be warned. Less then a block from the convention center and the Hyatt. You can walk to the D-Backs and Suns areas. Several good places to eat nearby; try Seamus McCarffreys irish bar or the Matador mexican food (right across the street). The roof top pool was very small, and there was a "private party" going on that created a hassel getting into the pool, not to mention some very LOUD hip-hop DJ music all afternoon. The banquet room was large and very nice too - a good place to hold a moderate sized event.

Enjoyable stay

Stayed two nights, hotel was just fine, although valet is not optional, it's mandatory if you stay and quite expensive. Staff was friendly and helpful, though and hotel is very clean and decor and ambience is very pleasing. The bar and restaurants are nice and the rooms are comfortable. Would definitely stay again

Wyndham is Great

My wife and I took my son to ASU for his first college life. The people at the Wyndham and the area around the Hotel were helpful and kind. I have given there name and number to many friends since comming back from Phoenix. Stay here it's the best...

needs improvement

hotel was wonderful it was the staff. Made us feel like we were intruding on them when we asked for anything. I would go some where else if I had to stay in Phoenix again,

Parking fees

We were surprised when charges were made in the amount of $23 per day for parking at the hotel. This was not disclosed when we made the reservation, nor when we checked into the hotel. It would be easier to take if the parking fee was automatically included in the room price...not an add on when we had no other choice for parking.
