The hotel was very nice and the food at Icon was outstanding, but when checking in there was no one at the front desk nor at the concierge station. I waited for a few minutes then went looking for help. A staff member outside of the restaurant called the front desk, and by the time I got back, the clerk had returned. Unfortunately, she seemed preoccupied and was not very friendly. Another problem I had with the staff was no one seemed to know what my reservation included (I had selected business class which included free breakfast). Disappointing since I didn't want to end up paying $25 for breakfast! Overall the hotel was beautiful and quiet, and I would probably stay there again if I were attending a conference.

The hotel is beautiful and was convienent to the Convention Center (purpose of the stay), but was not happy with the service from the front desk staff. Very impersonal, and felt like we were constantly interrupting them from their job. We just felt that with a tough economy and decline of hotel business that we would have been greeted a lot more pleasantly.

Special "rate" was great. What you would pay for a 2 star hotel, but with the benefits of a 3 1/2 star hotel.

We chose the Wyndham when attending a conference downtown. Very nice hotel and the price beat out the competitor next door. It was worth the savings since it was just as nice as the hotel next door but at a $20+ discount.

Trip Type: Business Review 15 of 34A Good Place, but just an OK location
Between beggars, vagrants, and construction going on, you'd do better going to someplace else for location. However, with the lone exception of room service, I found the hotel to be better than average. The dining there could use a wider selection, but there are a few places nearby that offer better dining.
