Great room for the money

Excellent hotel for the money. There were no long lines at check in and the staff was very helpful. The room was clean and nice. I've stayed in lots of hotels where the rooms were not as nice and paid a lot more. I will definitely stay here on my next trip to Vegas.

Needs Improvement

Parking is terrible, too much walking, especially when physically handicapped.

Needs Improvement in Housekeeping

My major disappointment was with the maintenance of the room in which we stayed. On the first night(Wed), one of the beds was dirty (old linen) and had what appeared to be mucous from someone's nose on the sheets. We called the front desk twice and someone finally came to change it after 45 minutes. The floor was not vacuumed and we dropped a price tag from a new piece of clothing on the floor, where it stayed from Wednesday through Friday. In the bathroom, a little sign giving info about the towells, was in the same spot on the floor from Wed thru Fri. It appeared that the floor was not mopped or swept until Saturday. The bellman was very good, the waiters for room service were excellent. The housekeeper who came to change the linen on the first night was thorough and efficient after the 45 minute wait. I would be reluctant to stay there again!

Started out fine but went downhill

When I arrived at the hotel I was very impressed with the room. It's very well decorated but not in the best location, room not very clean and the maid service forget toilet paper. When I called to get some, it took 30min. to arrive. Even with this I still was going to stay 2 more night but when I called downstairs no one from the front desk answered (phone rang at least 15-20 times). I then asked to speak to a manager and of course got an answer machine; I left a message and waited 4 days with no call back from the manager.

Decent Room but Hard Beds

The beds could have been more comfortable. They were very hard and I woke up with stiff back. I know you go to Vegas to do other things than watch TV but the channel lineup was very measly.

New rooms are awesome!

The first night we were there for the National Pool tournament they were not able to accommodate our smoking room request. The non-smoking rooms are newly renovated with wonderfully comfortable beds and very nice decor. The rest of the stay we opted to forgo some of the comfort for smoking rooms, which were very standard and had not been renovated. The staff was awesome.

value for money but . . .

Generally, the hotel was good. On our second day of stay, housekeeping kept our room tidy but I lost my phone charger. My phone is one of those cheap and old ones so it is hard to look for those chargers nowadays. I informed the desk but she advised to call their maitenance department which I did but this person told me to make a report to the police. Rediculous!

EXCELLENT ROOM FOR THE MONEY

I have been to Las Vegas a few times and usually stay near center strip and I try to stay at the somewhat newer places however I had a last minute flight a day early so I had to make a last minute reservation for one night for myself since my friends were coming out the next day. I decided to go with an inexpensive hotel since I would be checking in after 10pm and checking out in the morning to go over to our other hotel. I have always known the Riviera to be an older hotel so I expected it to be run down and was completely surprised when I checked in the casino was decent, the pool area was great and my room well exceeded my expectations. It was clean, remodeled, and comfortable. It is a bit of a walk to get anywhere but so is everywhere else in Vegas. I just have to rave about the room, the bed was amazingly comfortable, the room was clean, I would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a little bang for their buck.

Great beds and room

We stayed at the Monte Carlo our first night (payed over double what we did for Riviera) and weren't too impressed with our room (their pools, however, were great). Our next night we stayed at the Riviera and our expectations were exceeded. Our beds were far more plush and comfortable than the Monte Carlos, we had a nice flat screen TV (not one in the Monte Carlo), and a mini refrigerator (again, not one at Monte Carlo). The room was great. The pool was small, but not too many people which was nice...getting a chair in the sun was easy. One down side is the location, but the walk to the middle of the strip really isn't that bad. I would recommend this hotel, you definitely get more than you pay for.
