Omni Chicago Hotel

Excellent hotel

The Omni is situated right off Michigan Ave. and is close to some great restaurants on Rush St. The hotel staff could not have been nicer. The only disappointment was that the room was right next to the ice machine and, therfore, was a bit noisy.

Outstanding

Wonderful hotel, much better than the Drake. Beautiful view and clean. Only strange thing is that the lobby is on the 3rd floor, and you have to take 2 elevators to get to your room.

Our favorite Chicago hotel

The beds are so comfortable! I love the fact that there are 2 separate rooms. The only downside to this hotel are the insufficient number of elevators for a hotel of this size and the slow speed of the 2 working elevators.

Very nice hotel

I really enjoyed my stay at Omni Chicago. It was right in the heart of everything! The room was very nice. The bed was plush and comfortable. The bathroom was roomy and spa like. The service was great! The only down side, if anything, was that no refrigerator was in the room; so I couldn't keep my drinks cold. I would definitely recommend and I will definitely return.

Luxary

This was a luxary weekend for us.We enjoyed a taste of big city life.I want to experience it again sometime.The food was out of this world.

Excellent Stay

Perfect is all I can say.

Somewhat ok.

Our experience at the Omni Hotel was not the best but it was ok. The front desk staff did do there best in our situation. We did not like the first room we were in. But then the change our room to a better one and then we were pleased. I really don't have really bad comments for the hotel, but I am seriously irate with Hotel . com customer services. When I booked the room for our first get-away in three years I specifically asked for 4 things. 1-late check-in 2-a bottle of White Zinfandel in our room upon arrival 3-a Jacuzzi suite and 4-a smoking room. Only one of these request where met. the late check-in. I was on the phone with them for 46 min that evening, the gentleman that was taking care of me put me on hold 5 times and still could not explain why all of my request were not met, so I asked to speak to a manager and again on hold for about 3-5 min. When she came on the phone all she could say is sorry and that we will credit your account $50.00. She said sorry again and is there anything else she can help me with. I said no and also said that I will never use this company again. I hope that this is posted on the web-site because people should always here the good with the bad..

Excellent room and even better location

Best located hotel. Great experience for the price. Room was very clean. We went to the shedd aquarium and the planetarium and it was a very short cab ride. It is also located just east of State Street and on Michigan Ave. we went to Mike Ditka's for dinner and it ended up being two blocks away. Then we went and saw wicked and it was about .5 mile away. Room was very clean and it felt like the room was brand new. we stayed in the kind suite.

Really liked it.

It would have been nice if wireless internet was free from the room. Really liked the turn down service and ice in the room. Perfect location for Christmas Shopping trip.

Expected Much More

My wife and I spent a weekend here and found things to look great on the surface, but ended up being below our expectations for the price. Being a busy weekend, all rooms were booked and since we booked through hotels.com, we were given a smoking room (being told we were given the run of the house). Only by insisting on a move did they "find" us a new room. The room we ended up with was clean and nice, but rather than charging for Internet by day, as stated on the bold print, every time we logged out and logged back in, we incurred another charge of $9.95. So if you plan on using the Internet frequently, then be sure to sign up for the unlimited package. Valet was also less than responsive, no bellhop at 11:00 when we returned on a Friday, and were given a hard time for not keeping our claim ticket when they handed all copies to us. When we checked out, they couldn't find our car and didn't bother to tell the bellman despite us waiting half an hour before we approcahed them and then they looked into where our car ended up. Again, nice room,great location, and clean hotel, but not worth the cost, the lack of service, the general lack of responsiveness for hotels.com customers, and a poor valet experience (at $49 per nigh!).

A Good Place to Stay in a good location

Overall I was very satisfied. The only complaint I can think of was that the pool and the hot tub were a little on the small side, but aside from that the rooms were nice and clean, the staff was attentive, and the location is great.

Great Hotel...

The Omni Hotel was great, just dont order the pizza from room service. After waiting for other an hour, it was burnt to a crisp. If it hadnt been 1 AM after traveling all day, we would've complained. When we did the next morning, it was too late apparently. Not a great way to start off the stay, but all in all the room was nice and staff was pleasant.
