Trip Type: Rest and Recreation Review 2 of 43Outstanding Hotel
Although the hotel itself is beautiful, the service was outstanding and made it a very pleasant stay. We had one issue with the hotel charging on a debit card, but it was resolved quickly - again, great service!! We look forward to staying at the hotel again in the future.

Wonderful stay made outstanding by the attentive and pleasant staff. We have used this hotel for our corporate guests and it did not disappoint when we had a group of friends/family stay New Years week. Highly recommended, no complaints!

The hotel was great! They even came and turned our bed down at night and left mints on the pillow!

Really nice hotel and staff. Location could'nt be better. Room was clean, roomy and the view from the 21st floor was great!! Breakfast buffet was $19 and had a good variety of fruits and breakfast fare. MH-Western IL

Trip Type: Rest and Recreation Review 9 of 43outstanding hotel
I enjoyed the Omni Chicago. What a nice hotel. The hotel is in the heart of Chicago! The resturant's food is good, the bar is pleasant, the work out room is well laid out and the pool is fine. What a wonderful 4 days staying at the Omni.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 10 of 43Wonderful Location
The Chicago OMNI was a beautiful hotel with courteous staff. It was in the perfect location for shopping as well as getting around town on the EL. Decent price for the great room! I only wish our room windows were door walls (floor 5) with easy access to the surrounding balcony overlooking MI Ave. However, we were able to go through the pool area (less than a minute walk) to access the balcony. Oh... and I never wanted to leave the pillowtop king (It was like sleeping on a cloud)! I would highly suggest the Chicago OMNI!

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 11 of 43Not the room we booked
Hotel was very nice but disappointed not to receive the Superior Corner Suite that I had booked. Was told that because I had booked through Hotels.com the room was not guaranteed and that to make sure I received the room I wanted I should book directly with the hotel.

Our son recently moved to Chicago. We plan to visit often and will stay at the Omni. Excellent accommodations. The staff was helpful, polite and courteous!

Trip Type: Rest and Recreation Review 13 of 43Excellent hotel with attention to detail; good service
Not to spoil anything, but I actually stopped upon walking through the door of the hotel room. The lights were set nicely, and soft music was playing at just the right volume. There was a welcome note on the bed, and the covers were turned down. The next day, the covers were up and a chocolate was on the bed with a note. There was a flat screen TV in the bedroom, and another in the living room area, with double doors leading into the bedroom. Excellent. The layout of the hotel is a bit odd. Things are a bit scattered about, probably due to the layout of the building. There are two sets of elevators - one goes to floors 1 - 3; the second to higher floors. So to get to your room from the first floor you have to change elevators, and vice versa. Not much of a problem though. Some sort of baggage check counter is on the first floor. The small lobby, and a concierge are on the third floor. A restaurant is on the 4th floor, and the health club/pool is on the 5th floor. Aside from things being a bit scattered around, the hotel is quite nice. The restaurant on the 5th floor has a nice (but pricey) breakfast buffet, and afterward is set up for service at the bar and bar tables. It was a mixed bag when it came to bartender friendliness, but the food was quite good. Location-wise, the hotel is within walking distance of tourist spots on "The Miracle Mile". Safe area, plenty to see within walking distance, including the lakefront. A+
