Marriott DFW Hotel and Golf Club

Outstanding, great value, great location for our purpose

We found this place to be excellent for those attending the TWS track. The rooms were spacious, clean, well appointed and the personnel were very courteous. Great over all value and locatoin.

Expected a bit more

One of the features that we expected at the price we paid and for the location was complimentary newpaper. That is almost standard now for a hotel and this one had nothing. It would have also been nice to have a servi bar - at least a small frig with drinks. I will say they had this downstairs in the lobby by the front desk. The buffets were good and the ride to the racetrack was worth it all! Overall a good stay - just wish it had a couple more perks for the price!

Thin walls, charge for internet access

The Marriott is a beautiful property, the rooms all look wonderful with LCD HD TVs, comfortable bathrooms and a great pool/whirlpool spa. First off, the property charges for Internet Access per day. As a business traveler, I see this as a requirement now and not just an amenity. Secondly, the walls are extremely thin. We spent the night listening to the elevator ding, the couple next door talking, and the TV of the person on the other side. Without ear plugs, I would have been unable to sleep totally. I expected a lot more from a property looking and costing what this one does.

Beautiful Hotel

The hotel staff was extremely helpful and courteous. The room was exceptionally clean and neat and the bed was absolutely wonderful! I had a fantastic experience and would return in a heartbeat!

Staff went above and beyond

The hotel is well-maintained and has nice rooms decorated in a contemporary style. The staff went well out of their way to make our anniversary special. The restaurant staff treated us like royalty when they found out it was our anniversary. The chef prepared us special courses and they gave us their best table. The hotel doorman admired the lobby artwork instead of opening the door -- but everyone else more than made up for inattentiveness. Half the rooms overlook a golf course, the Texas Motor Speedway is visable in the distance from the other half. I highly recommend this hotel.
