Elegant, New, well appointed. But also a bit soul-less. Rooms with the bay view have the (noisy) freeway in front: not worth it.

Trip Type: Business Review 2 of 27Mixed Feeling about Hotel 1000
Overview: I live in Washington and stayed at Hotel 1000 because I had an important meeting in downtown Seattle. I did not want to deal with the unpredictable traffic or any unpredictable Ferry situation. With that in mind, I offer the following: The Pro's: 1) Outstanding customer service: The staff is ultra helpful in addressing any question or concern. 2) Location: Outstanding. If you are reading this review and you are visiting Seattle, this IS the hotel to book. You are within walking distance of the major attractions. Pike Place is about four, maybe five blocks away. Definetly a walk. 3) Room Comfort: Excellent. The room I booked was on the 14th floor facing west. So, I had a view of Puget Sound with the Olympics in the background. Again, if you are visiting from out of town, definetly request a west facing room. The Con's 1) There is only one. And it's the reason why I rated Hotel 1000 a '3.' The technology. The room is equipped with the illusion of cool technology. There's a 42 inch flat screen TV. There is complimentary basic wireless internet. What's the problem? If it works!!!! Around 10PM the TV "option" began to pixelate. I thought, "Okay, it's a Satellite. This will end soon." So, I go to my laptop, It doesn't work. Finally a note is shoved under my door apologizing for the network problems with the TV an internet. So, I'm thinking, if they have a pre-written note, this is a problem that exists. At that point, when you check out, any extra charges beyond the room and service should be comped. The response I got was a very polite "we are aware." Bottom Line: Yes, I recommend this hotel, just be aware there could be network problems where your internet and tv and phone will not work. AND you won't be comped for the inconvenience.

Trip Type: Business Review 4 of 27great walking location, noisy on waterside, lovely employees
We had a very nice time, location was gret for Pioneer Sq. Pike's Market and Downtown walking. We would had appreciated drinking water availabilty in rooms. Very small fitness center, but who needs that when you can be out walking? Cool bathtub fixtures, and room layout. Winelist lacking, would have liked to see some CA wines too.

Trip Type: Business Review 5 of 27Cool, modern yet very comfortable hotel
The Hotel 1000 was very sleek and the room was beautiful with a lovely view of the sound. The bedroom was well laid out and very comfortable and the bathroom - especially the tub - is not to be missed!

Talk about exceeding your expectations. Hotel 1000 does just that! I was a little nervous when we drove up and the valets looked like a jazz trio-hats and all-but they could not have been more efficient and knowledge. The rooms were pretty amazing with state of the art technology everywhere. Bring your I-pod and laptop to plug into their amazing 42' plasma to surf the net, play your own tunes through the TV or watch their 'window channel'. Super comfy duvets and the bath tub is to die for. Area is very central walking to everywhere but homeless panhandle aggressively there. Don't be put off by the porn store right next door - it's a great area. The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and attends to your every need. LOVE this hotel!

Trip Type: Business Review 7 of 27Don't stay anywhere else.
The rooms are great. Modern, clean, amazing bathrooms. The staff is so nice it's scary. The gym is spotless, roomy enough and has everyhing you need. Best of all, they don't nickel and dime you to death like other hotels do in the same price range. You don't have to pay for color printouts in the business center, you don't have to pay for bottled water in the gym, etc. I still think $35-40 is excessive for valet parking. Higher end hotels in Los Angeles don't even charge that much, but as my only gripe I can't imagine staying anywhere else.

Trip Type: Business Review 12 of 27Great Hotel
Great bar, great rooms, and most importantly, a great staff. They can use a different TV Menu layout (you'll know what I mean when you go) and they could use a DVD player and iPod station in the room. The valet parking was not reasonable at all!!! But don't get me wrong, the hotel is great and the rooms are just plain sexy. Order a Spontanetini from the bar and have fun. The location surrounding the hotel is great and within walking/bus/cab distance to anything. Have fun and bring extra money to park your car.
