Katrina Update 2009

There still is alot of damage from Katrina in the area. Hotel was inexpensive, close to the city, the staff was great. Manager upgraded us for our 3 night stay to a nicer room location on property. Room was clean and quite.

Ok place to stay for the money.

This was a nice little hotel fairly inexpensive, about 15 min from downtown. Not a great neighborhood, but not scary. the only problem we had was the first night we didn't turn on the air for a little white noise and we heard cars parking and people walking around all night. It was the new years weekend so we were realistic. As Dwight Shrute would say "these walls are paper thin." So the fan really helped. All in all a good stay for the economy.

Great Hideaway

Love the indoor decor ironworks,the route to enter city was minutes away.Rooms were very spacious and clean.Would highly recommend for private get away.

Affordable and surprisingly pleasant.

This hotel has been newly renovated since the storm. The location is bleak (surrounded by industrial sites and warehouses), but it is only about eight minutes on Hwy. 10 to get into downtown. The rooms were very clean, the free continental breakfast was just right, the staff was attentive and courteous, and the parking is free and under cover. I was surprised and impressed.

Great Staff!

This hotel is out of the way (& I guess not in the "best part" of town), but it its quiet & very resonable. The staff at the hotel were EXTREMELY helpful. We had a couple of problems of our own making & they went above & beyond to help us. The room was very neat & spacious (we had 5 people & we weren't crowded at all). Would definately recommend staying here.

Perfect stay to explore NO

If you have a car and you don't need to spend every night on Bourbon Street - this hotel seems to be best deal. 10 minutes away from the French Quarter, clean rooms, friendly staff, great prices - that's all you need.

Fine for one night

It is fine to stay there for one night , but I wouldn't suggest to stay their for more than 3 nights.They don't have refrigerator or michrowave in the room I stood. And the neighbourhood still kind of not recovered from katrina. But their service is good, the room is clean and it's about 10-15 minutes to drive to french quater. I may not stay there next time but I think their trying to do their best.

Decent Hotel

Not too bad of a place, but I wouldn't recommend bringing a significant other. Smelled like smoke, but it was Mardi Gras weekend so it was well worth it. I would stay again if needed.

Great room for the moeny

Great location for access to interstate and not a bad neighborhood. Nice, clean rooms. Friendly staff. Great price. Would stay in again

outstanding hotel

I booked our hotel at the last minute on line, which wasn't difficult at all. When we arrived at the hotel I was a little discouraged by the the trailers that were lined up beside the hotel, but once we were checked in and went to our room I was really impressed. I told all of my friends about the hotel and the rates.
