Trip Type: Family Review 2 of 22Great hotel for a party of 5
This hotel was one of the few hotels in the Tokyo area that offered a suite for 5 people to stay in. This was a vital criteria for me since I was traveling with my in a family of 5. The Japanese Style suite we stayed was huge by Japanese standards and felt more like an apartment than a hotel room. The room had obvious signs of wear-and-tear, but that was expected and didn't distract us from the excellent view (due North) from the 29th floor. The costs were moderate when considering the size of the room and the rate on a per-person basis. Traveling to the hotel from Narita airport was quick and easy via the Airport Limousine buses it covers this hotel (same for the return trip). The hotel's location is excellent since it's practically next to the Akasaka-mitsuke subway station (which is connected to the Nagatacho subway station). This means the hotel is a short walk to 5 of Tokyo Metro's subway lines, which I found to be very convenient! The maids were always friendly and eager to be of help even if they didn't understand English. Hand gestures and a pocket phrasebook did the trick in those cases where the language barrier was up. Newspapers were delivered very early on a daily basis, which was great since I was always up before 6 am. The room even came with a bed making service where they prepare the futons for you (although it can be easily done yourself in under 5 minutes). Even though I usually turn down the service (they regularly call to ask if you'd like it done), on days when they couldn't reach me they would already have the futons prepared by the time I returned (after 6 pm). The cleaning staff are keen on details and responded to the note I left to request a trash bag by doing just that. The staff is also quick to respond to any external problems such as earthquakes. Two earthquakes struck while I was there and the staff promptly responded after the tremors were over (via the loudspeakers in the room) to explain our situation and to ensure all guests th

Trip Type: Family Review 4 of 22Excellent hotel
We stayed in a family suite with 2 bedrooms and it was an excellent choice for my family (with 3 kids). This hotel was the only one I could find with this type of suite at a reasonable price in Tokyo. The suite was very spacious and had a great view (we were on the 19th floor). The room was clean and well-equipped. Every staff we met was helpful, courteous, friendly, and spoke adequate English. The hotel location was also a big plus. Subway stations are right outside the hotel and you have access to 5 lines on the Metro. There are also plenty of restaurants, retails, banks, and even a coin laundry near by. Wireless internet connection is available in the lobby. It is not free, but is cheaper than the wired connection in the room. Overall, we had a great experience at this hotel and would stay here again.

Trip Type: Family Review 6 of 22Great Large Japanese Room with panoramic Tokyo view
It was our first time staying in major city hotel's Japanese room. We were impressed with the size and layout of the room and 5 person easily fit all our stuff and enjoyed our time. When I go to Tokyo next time, I would definitely try to find same room.

Trip Type: Family Review 7 of 22Very nice, good location
This is a beautiful high rise hotel with great views from all rooms. The Akasaka neighborhood is not touristy but we found plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance to meet all of our needs. There are five subway lines within a block or two, so it was very easy to get anywhere we wanted to go. We had a Japanese style family suite for four of us and it was fantastic. Our room was huge and very comfortable for a long stay. Highly recommended for families. We did not see a lot of other American tourists in the hotel or neighborhood but it worked out great for us and we were completely satisfied.

Trip Type: Family Review 10 of 22Great hotel
Nice hotel with large rooms for Japan. We had a beautiful view from our 19th floor windows of the night skyline. Close to subway station made sightseeing convenient. Also, many local restaurants. Assistant manager helped us find a nearby English speaking doctor and arranged the appointment. Food is very expensive, eat outside.

Trip Type: Family Review 11 of 22Environmentally conscious hotel
I commend the hotel's environmental initiative to save resources by limiting the change in towels and linens. During our 5 night stay we only requested the change in towels and linens once. On top of that the hotel gave us a voucher to use in the hotel's shops and restaurants for participating.

the staff members were extremely helpful. For example, needing water to take medication, I asked the asst. mgr. as to the location of a water fountain. Rather than send me on my way, he got up from his desk, walked all the way across the lobby into a restaurant not yet opened for the day and brought me a glass of cold water. The metro was just down the street as were numerous restaurants.

Trip Type: Family Review 15 of 22Unexpected pleasure
The location is remarkably convenient to the subway. We used the subway everywhere we went. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful, although they all tend to struggle a bit with English. We found this throughout Tokyo and is by no means unique to this hotel. The room is comfortable and clean. We were provided with an amazing amount of bathroom amenitites and a daily newspaper. Lots of restaurants a short walk away. The concierge can help with just about everything, from subway directions, city tours, restaurants, etc. Overall we were very pleased.
