Great staff, good room, nice hotel.

Best Hotel Deal in Tokyo

In 20 years of traveling to Tokyo, I have never experienced such a great deal. This is a first-rate hotel worthy of a 5-star rating and they were offering an internet rate that was more than 50% off the usual price. Rooms are large, airy, sunny, clean, comfortable. Everything you would dream of. Only one word of caution! Do not eat in the Hotel Restaurants! Food is horribly expensive, and not particularly good. Five minutes away, in Akasaka, you have a multitude of excellent restaurants.

Western-style hotel for a decent value

The staff is extremely courteous, the rooms are clean and take advantage of the view on the upper floors, and it's convenient for taxis and access to the Orange Ginza line. Because there are multiple Prince Akasaka hotels in the city, I suggest getting the front desk to write the name of the property and address in Japanese for use by cab drivers.

Great room and location for the money

This was the third time in 6 trips to Tokyo that we have stayed at the Grand Prince Akasaka, and it is firmly established as our favorite hotel in Tokyo for both its quality and the price. You can't beat the location--what a great neighborhood for early morning (or late night) walks!--and the room size is luxurious by Japanese standards. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful (be prepared to give up your bags to a tiny Japanese woman who wll not let you carry your own into the hotel). We could always find someone at the front desk or ask for someone on the phone who spoke reasonable English. The restaurants are pricey, though, if you are on a budget, but not different from most other higher class Japanese hotels. No need to eat there, though, because of the presence of a multitude of cheaper restaurants (and many convenience stores for sandwiches etc) a bare stone's throw away on Sotobori dori.

Outstanding Hotel and great price!

The hotel was located very close to the subway and there are tons of places to eat nearby. The room was extremely clean and big with a wonderful view of Tokyo. We loved the room. The lobby is not that great, but who cares when you have a great room with a view.

Great location in central Tokyo--big rooms for Japan

The staff's English is just poor--which is understandable, but service cannot be good w/o communication. Otherwise, the hotel was lovely.

Grand Prince Hotel Akasaka

A very good and clean hotel, close to the Imperial gardens and business district. The location was convenient to the Metro station. The room was contemporary, very spacious, clean, and a good view of Tokyo, Japan. The concierge and staff were gracious and helpful in every way with a good understanding of the English language

Met Some Expectations

The hotel services were great, everyone spoke english. The consigner service were very good and the room service were fast. I stayed in the Business Suite and it did not meet my expectation. The view was not very impressive, specially being in a "suite". I would only recommend the Royal Suites that is located on the top floors.

Great Location

Hotel is located just a few minutes walk from Akasaka-Mitsuke station which is the central hub of Tokyo's subway system, and the surrounding area is the famous night spot in Tokyo. Some of the best restaurants are found in this neighborhood. It is also close to Japan's national diplomatic offices. The hotel is clean and well maintained, service staffs are all courteous and well attented.

location and comfort

This is not a five star hotel, but I would give four and a half. Location is excellent and rooms are spacious and comfortable. I recognized that the bed was firm and made me well rested. Bargain price by hotels.com was unbeatable. Thanks, hotels.com.

Location, location and location!

No other hotel is so centrally and ideally located for everything than this excellent hotel, including business, shopping, entertaiment and public transportation such as metro. If you prefer traditional setting, choose nearby Hotel New Otani, but if you are future-oriented, Grand Prince Hotel Akasaka is yours. If you pay the full price, it is a very expensive hotel. I could overlook snow-capped Mt. Fuji and Tanzawa Mountains in front clearly from the 42nd-floor Top of Akasaka Panoramic Restaurant.
