unorganized and hidden fees

first off, my party and i arrived to find out that we couldn't check in until 2 hours after the time we were suppose to check in. when i asked why, this rude woman from behind the counter snapped at me about some spring breakers vandelizing something the previous week like it was my fault or something. then i found out about the hidden fees that they forgot to mention online. everyone staying in my room had to give them a cash security deposit of $100 apiece. then we had to pay an extra $35 for some kind of insurance. the service and employees there are very unorganized and rude. the location to all the nightclubs and restaurants though somewhat made up for it and it was right on the beach.

Dirties carpet in florida

This hotel has the nastiest carpet I have ever seen. We put our bedspreads on the floor so we didn't touch the carpet. The "kitchenette" has a refrigerator with the door liteally rusting off, nasty outside, but clean inside. There are no dishes, utensils, cups, coffee maker, toaster. The stove barely heats. At check-in they tried to act like there was no way we got that room for the rate we booked, and tried to charge us more, unsuccessfully,so stand your ground. The mattresses were ok, not good, but ok. We re-washed all of the linens before we slept on them, jsut in case. The curtains were mildewed. However, we did book it for next to nothing and the the location of this hotel is awesome. We were beachfront, and I mean right on the beach. The water was less than 100 yards away. The pier and boardwalk are 6 blocks away. It's an easy walk to everything. We knew we would be slumming it, and we definately were. But we did stay 4 nights and stayed on the balcony and the beach the whole time to avoid the nasty room. So if you're desperate for sunshine and are broke, you can tough it out like we did, and you'll get your dirt-cheap vacation. Just don't take off your shoes in the room, don't waste your money on the kitchenette, but definately get beachfront.

Needs lots of improvement

The walls of the hotel were so thin that guests in the adjoining rooms seemed to be in your room. There was no control of the heating and air conditioning. The beds were hard and very uncomfortable. The bathroom was in bad need of repair.

Not bad for the price paid but definitely needs some up-keep. Had to pay $3.00 for parking the next day at checkout.

Rooms are much smaller than in pictures and everything is more or less run down

Needs severe improvement

This hotel was nasty and there was NO heat. We had to get a space heater from someone at the hotel. The door stuck every time we closed it but wouldn't shut all the way without force. The carpet was nasty and the room stunk. We reserved a room with a king size bed but were told when we arrived that there were none left. What happened to the room that we paid for in advance and was supposed to be reserved. We had to pay $3 a day to park and there was no available parking because of all the people in town for the annual "Turkey Run". Daytona is nice but we will NEVER stay here again!

ok room

this hotel is ok if your low on money and want a place to sleep and shower.theres a lot crazy people running and screaming at the middle of the night.
