Thoughtful Staff

We often called the concierge for suggestions on breakfast or dinner. Their suggestions were always exactly what we were looking for. One night they suggested dinner at the Metropolitan Grill which ended up being the most amazing meal but the hotel actually bought us a side dish with our meal as an unexpected surprise. The staff was very attentive and thoughtful!

Excellent Hotel and Experience

Exceeded our expectations. Fabulous view of Puget Sound and surrounding shores. Quiet. Exceptional room decor. Friendly, helpful staff.

Fun decor

The room was very small but the fireplace with bear and northwest decor was clever. The best part of our stay was the great dinner in the onsite restaurant.

Great local, but . . .

If you want to stay at an "in" place this would be it. The city and harbour tour guides all reference The Edgewater on their tours and the location really can't be beat. But be prepared - the rooms are small and the building is old. the very modern "bowl" sinks drain too slowly to be considered acceptable and if you're unlucky enough to get a water front from at the end near the dock better bring some walking shoes - you'll get a full work out just getting to the gift shop and back for the only access to morning coffee. Overall a B+

Loved this hotel

Our room comfortable with a terrific floor plan and unbelievable view. Even had a view from the claw foot bathtub. was hanging over the water. Restaurants bars, shopping nearby - easy walking distance to Pike's Place Market. Hotel staff was friendly and very helpful. Nice restaurant/bar in the hotel with good entertainment. Dark when we went to sleep and we woke in the middle of the first night with a bright light in the room - when I turned to look out the window, it was a beautiful full moon lighting up the sky and reflecting off the water. Wonderful stay, awesome place!

Just One Thing...

We would definately go back to The Edgewater, the staff couldn't have been more accomodating, except for one thing...when reading the reviews prior to booking the room, a couple mentioned gratis upgrades to the water side of the hotel upon check-in. We were truly hoping that would be the case when we arrived. It was not offered, and during our 4 night stay I heard there were openings on the water side. The lobby with the two story windows on the water were marvelous!!!

Great hotel

I stay in a lot of hotels and this one was excellent. The view of the water was great and the service was woderful. The answer to any question was sure we can do that for you.

Great Hotel

We loved The Edgewater. The location was perfect We walked everywhere. We only ate breakfast there, but it was very nice. The staff was very helpful and congenial.

Great bathroom and free Starbucks

The room was comfortable and clean, although it was a little small to have two large chairs in front of a corner fireplace - we had to move one of them to gain access to the sliding glass door and small porch (which was nice to have, since we were not on the water side of the hotel). There was also a strange footstool that was a stuffed bear, which had seen better days. Best part was the refurbished bathroom, with stone tiles and walk-in shower - although it could use some sort of ledge for those of us who shave our legs! And although I had pledged to give up caffeine on vacation, I couldn't resist the free Starbucks in the room.

Classy

Our hotel room was very nice. The bathroom was so elegant, we want to do our own bathroom to look like it!

Everything was great but...

It was pretty noisy. Walls seemed very thin and it felt like people we talking on every side of us. Definitely nice hotel but just a little loud.
