The Edgewater-A Noble House Hotel

acceptable for price

Service was excellent. Location is prime. Bathroom features very good. However, the room only had a queen size bed, even though the reservation was for a King bed and the staff called it a king bed. I'm tall and the length difference between a queen and a king is obvious, especially when sharing a bed with your spouse. Another family member staying at this hotel had the same issue. The rooms do not have a coffee machine, which is very unusual. $30/night for parking is excessive, even for this prime waterfront location. Commercial parking is available very nearby for $10/night.

Great stay

The hotel has been renovated in a rustic theme. The room was very comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and beautiful. I would stay there again. Two areas that could be improved would be: 1) There was no coffee maker in the room. There was many other amenities, but no coffee maker. 2) Parking was quite expensive. Valet parking only - and while I found the hotel staff to be excellent, I thought the valet staff was rude and snobish.

Convenient to everything and we found the food excellent with excellent service. The decor was interesting and the views outstanding. It was great.

There are better hotels

I was very disappointed with my stay at the Edgewater. I had heard wonderful things about the hotel. It was very noisy, I could hear everything in the hall way as well as the heater in the next room. The train went by quite often all night long and woke me. There was not a bathtub in my room, the sink is a vessel sink, so it is pretty yet somewhat problematic to use.

Perfect location

Perfect location. Loved the hotel overall. The day I arrived, they had plumbing issues and were moving guests to other hotels. Also shuttle driver called in sick, so the free inter-city hotel was not run. Staff could have been more apologetic about these issues, but the room/location was excellent.

Great but with drawbaks

We stayed at the Edgewater 2 nights in September. We had a nice room, not waterview, but still very nice. Everything was great with a few small exceptions. The air conditioner was noisy, the remodeled shower was great but no water pressure and the bathroom needed a bit brighter lighting. The hotel has a great location and the staff is very friendly and helpful. We would stay there again.

Great Hotel

We stayed one night in a Cityside room and upgraded two nights to a Waterfront room. Both rooms were nicely appointed and comfortable. However, the Cityside room was very noisy with the window open. The hotel is very close to a railroad track that is busy several times a night. The Victoria Ferry dock is within easy walking distance, as well as several restaurants.

What a great choice!

We were taking a cruise departing from Pier/Dock 66. This hotel is next door... we walked with our luggage to the dock! Excellent service (they sorted out an odd mix up with champagne we did not order), great room, wonderful restaurant... overall excellent experience!
