good hotel

it has a very good location , a little small if u have 4 adults staying together in a room, but good for a couple.

Outstanding Hotel

We had a fantastic time at this resort. I would recommend it to anyone. All members of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Only complaint I have is the charge to park your car.

Great Hotel

Just a little too laid back for my taste. Would have been more suite to be closer to Whaler's Village.

Wonderful!

We stayed at the Royal Lahaina in Feb 2009 in the redecorated Tower. We had an ocean view room. Everything about the hotel was wonderful -- the room, the beach, the restaurant, the pool, the staff. It is an older property, so the pool area isn't like the newer megaresorts, but it is definitely sufficient. There are two pools overlooking the ocean with a bar and activity hut between them. Would definitely stay there again!

Wonderful hotel right on the beach

Royal Lahaina Resort was attractive, spacious, and relaxing. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Quick access to the boardwalk along the waterfront to stroll along Kaanapali Beach and visit the shops in Whalers Village. This section of Kaanapali Beach felt private and secluded being just past Black Rock. Excellent hotel, would definately stay there again.

Great rooms!

Rooms were great! Oceanview was beautiful as well as the sandy beach area. Warning pool was freezing! It was much easier to get into the ocean. Hot tub was in an inconvenient location and really needed maintenance. Overall, for the money, it was enjoyable.

Hotel in transition

We stayed in the "cottages" which are actually two story multi-room buildings. The resort is getting ready to tear these downs and build condos, so they are doing minimal maintenance, meaning cracked grout in bathroom and other updating are not being done. For the price compared to other properties it was good, as we had a first floor ocean front room with a patio that had table, chairs and lounges. Huge rubber tree outside the room. At this time of year we sat outside and watched the whales.

Great room for the money

It was a very nice hotel for the money. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was recently remodeled and the choice of materials is of quality. The pool and beach areas are very well kept. I would definately recommend this hotel.
