Great room for the money

Positives: Older but well maintained hotel; room decor was nice; the partial ocean-view was very nice; within walking distance to eateries; rooms well sound proofed; helpful staff who made one feel welcome. Negatives: Our room was a bit snug; parking was limited especially during a luau; access to the internet cost $9.95 per day and could not find a hotspot in the hotel.

nice remodeled room the night I arrived I had a hard time getting something to eat because the hotel bar & restraut closed at 9:00

Exceeded My Expectations

I am the person that has to thoroughly research everything before making a decision, in addition to having very high expectations. I poured through several hotel booking websites and spent many hours looking for a hotel that would be in a price point that was acceptable to my company's expense account. I reserved the hotel with some hesitation, thinking that the rates offered would not produce a hotel to my expectation. Boy, was I wrong!!! Every aspect of this resort exceeded my expectation! The hotel was very fair when I had a last minute travel interruption that changed my original scheduled stay. And from the time of check-in to check-out, every person on their staff was helpful, friendly, and professional. The room was exceptionally clean, was very nicely furnished, and the view was much better than what I expected for "Partial oceanview" (even had a nice balcony). I would have sworn I was in a five star hotel and can't imagine I would have been any happier just by paying more money somewhere else. I would definitely recommend this to even the most discriminating traveler.

good location

we were in a "cottage" which was OK. I suspect the rooms in the tower are better but there weren't any available for the time we were there. It's on the beach, which is nice for the kids.
