Trip Type: With Friends Review 2 of 8Perfect for the Tokyo marathon!
Very conveniently located a few minutes walk from Shinjuku station (2nd largest of Tokyo, direct line to Narita airport) and right next to the Government building! This is perfect as the marathon starts right there. so you can go drop your bag at the starting line and go back to the warmth of your room instead of waiting too long outside ! However, this is not the most modern hotel i ever stayed at and was a bit disapointed for the quality of the room and its general feel. I was clearly expecting more for a 'Deluxe room'. Nevertheless, it was clean and the bed confortable enough.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 3 of 8Club Lounge was nice
The Keio Plaza hotel worked out well for my vacation stay. It is a 5-10 minute walk to the subway and JR train station. If you leave from the back of the the hotel near the Tokyo Government Building you can take the underground way to the station. A pleasant surprise was a coupon provided upon check-in to use the Club Lounge during our entire stay. From 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. we could get complimentary beer, wine, water, sodas, juice, and snacks. The Club Lounge was on the top floor of the South Tower where we stayed. The staff at the lounge was friendly and always replenished the drinks and snacks. There were even massage chairs to use with a great view of the city. The only complaint was that our room was too warm. Housekeeping explained that the heat was not controllable and that the air conditioning could not be turned on. However, they did provide a fan within minutes. The fan made the room comfortable. The price was good through hotels.com. Other guests (on the same floor)we spoke to staying on corporate rates were paying at least $50 more per night.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 5 of 8Upgrade to Premier
The Keio Plaza was an awesome hotel, as long as you upgrade to one of the premier rooms. We had two rooms for three nights, and it was a great choice. The hotel is located close to the Shinjuku train station, and was very easy to find (English signs are posted everywhere). Once we got their, the staff was very courteous. They checked is in quickly, and then escorted us to the room and showed us some of the features of the room (weird I know). But the room wasn’t just a usual hotel room. It had bedroom controls for the lights and shades. There were robes and slippers in the closet, which was huge. This is definitely a western style hotel, lots of room and great views of Shinjuku! Again, that was for a premiere room. We saw a non-premiere room, and let me say, it is worth the extra money (definitely worth it). I would definitely visit here again though. The price wasn’t bad either, as compared to staying in downtown Chicago for a night it would have actually been cheaper for the service we received. If you are looking to stay in Shinjuku, you can’t go wrong with the Keio Plaza!

Trip Type: With Friends Review 6 of 8Great for the money
This is a big hotel with a very helpful and pleasant staff. The location has access directly to Shinjuku station so it is convenient. There are many restaurants, good souvenir shops, and a nice mini mart for waters, etc not over priced either! I recommend to anyone wanting to stay in this part of Tokyo.

This is with out a doubt a great hotel that offers superior rooms in a great location to access other areas of the city. If you looking for shopping or night life you will find it. The room I had was a little extra but enjoyed a great view of the city. The room was exceptionaly clean. The staff went out of ther way to make us comfortable and exceeded our expectations from the moment we arrived. I would recomend this hotel to any one looking to stay in this are of tokyo.
