Be careful about Dune Views

This is a beautiful hotel with great amenities. The problem is that we were told this was a waterside room with a "dune view" and what we got was an oceanside room on the second floor with a lanai and a view of nothing but a dune! The dune was wider and taller than our whole patio and patio view!!! It was a nice location and once you walked out to the beach it was great.

OH My!

The hotel is on the beach and has a great location! They rent beach umbrella's and chairs for their guests although limited in quantity, you need to get to the beach early to grab one! The employees in room services were wonderful, very professional and pleasant! That is about the only good things to say! The walls are paper thin and we were tortured for days hearing screaiming infants from early morning into the night next door and yelling parents who did not want to take care of their kids. Housekeeping is an issue and may be due to who is the head of housekeeping. enough said on that one! Overall, it is an old hotel.

July 4th weekend

The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Nicole at front desk extremely nice and considerate. Allowed us to check in early when room was available! Room was basically clean except for comforters, which were totally disgusting! Bed and pillows were comfortable...room somewhat noisy and outdated. A couple of restuarants within walking distance. Hotel restaurant poor for the price.

Nice hotel for the price

Overall enjoyable visit. I was disappointed with the cliental of the hotel though. Maybe it was just the time of year we stayed or dumb luck but I felt an overwhelming majority of the other guests were of lower class including college age people & frat boys, foul mouthed "white trash", and unsupervised children running wild while the parents were either sun bathing &/or drinking.

broken stay

we choose this hotel for the indoor pool and hot tub but the hot tub was under going maintanence the whole week end and felt over charged because of that fact.we could have saved money staying anywhere else

Great location

Hotel is beachfront with the ocean very close. Rooms are typical for most beach hotels. Decent, fair priced restaurant on premisis. Staff is very frinndly...mostly locals. I would stay here again.

"Good Place to Rest Your Head"

I read a lot of reviews about hotels in the Outer Banks before booking this hotel. Overall we were satisfied with our room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. A few things worth mentioning: bathroom could have been a little cleaner, no towels/wash clothes when we checked in (though we got some when we asked at the front desk), pool was murky the first day of our visit then closed for cleaning the next day, king bedroom looks larger in pictures than it actually is, and the bathroom is very small. Other than the cleanliness of the bathroom, the other stuff didn't bother us. We were just looking for a place to sleep at night.

Good Stay

We had a great time at our hotel. The outside patio and music were fun. The only negative is the room was never cleaned until very late in the day. The staff was very nice.
