This hotel is a great location, for a great price, and has outstanding service. The chocolates they use for turndown service are really good too!!!

This hotel was on the fancier side but of course I was expecting that. Very good service and the room was very comfortable as well. The surrounding neighborhood was lovely as well.

Trip Type: Romance Review 4 of 57Awesome Night
My wife and I needed a break from the kids and wanted to get away to someplace different. We chose Hotel Commonwealth because we thought it was more of a botique hotel than many others. I had checked the reviews and they were very high. I was not disappointed. Me being a procrastinator I didn't make dinner reservations in time and couldn't get into the restaraunt I wanted. The concierge helped me with this made reservations at a quaint french bistro. We had a wonderful meal. The hotel was crisp, clean and fresh. The decor was very nice and I just found the overall hotel to be very current. The hotel staff was impeccable, extremely helpful. One of my best hotel visits ever. We'll be back.

Trip Type: Romance Review 5 of 57A nice find in boston
Pricey, but worth it...it was a special occaision. conveniently located, clean and tastefully furnished, all appreciated. helpful staff, but necessarily accurate information. affiliated restaurant was average at best. food not impressive, prices on the pricey side, but great outdoor seating space and it was popular. i would definitely stay here again.

Trip Type: Romance Review 8 of 57Fantastic
Hard to describe how pleased I was with this hotel. Quality equal or better than any hotel that I've stayed at in Boston. They cheerfully supported an early check-in, the room was great, the bed comfortable. The Eastern Standard restaurant was also outstanding. We'll be back!

Trip Type: Romance Review 9 of 57A wonderful experience...
My husband and I just returned from our first ever stay in Boston and at Hotel Commonwealth and I had to let others know of the incredible time we had due in large part to the wonderful staff at HC. We arrived on a Friday afternoon and were immediately impressed by the friendly, but not overbearing staff, who were happy to help us plan our itinerary. The doorman even gave us a suggested walking tour route on our first evening which led us to great shopping and restaurants within minutes of our hotel via a stroll on Newbury Street. The surrounding area was rich in beautiful architecture as well with a wealth of beautiful brownstones on Marlborough Street. Although we were not there to attend a Redsox game, Fenway was located a stone's throw from the hotel as was the Kenmore stop on the city's easily navigable subway system. (You are only a 5-minute ride away from Quincy Market!) We are looking forward to returning to Boston when we have more time to spend to explore this beautiful city! I should also mention that the accomodations at HC are truly first class. Our room was clean, spacious, comfortable, and impeccably decorated. We enjoyed the time spent inside Hotel Commomwealth just as much as the time we spent exploring the city.

39.00 dollars a day for parking was completley rediculus other than that no complaints

Trip Type: Romance Review 11 of 57Pleasant Surprise
This hotel is in a nice area. The T stop entrance is right underneath the hotel and access to the rest of the city is convenient from there. The rooms are nice. Anything street-side naturally has the typical vehicle and motorcycle noise bleeding through the double-pane windows - more noticeable late at night. The size of the rooms are nice - large compared to NYC. The service is very good. The check-in and check-out went smoothly. The free DVD rentals are a nice touch. They deliver the DVDs in a nice paper bag along with a bag of popcorn - nice touch. Free Internet access was a plus.

Trip Type: Romance Review 12 of 57Great Hotel - Exceeded Expectations
Living in Boston for a few years, I had seen the reconstruction of the Hotel Commonwealth, but had never ventured past the restaurants. Going back to Boston for a visit, I chose to stay there and was very impressed. It is a beautiful hotel with tremendous service, and the rooms are very spacious, considering the location. It is the best high-end hotel I have stayed in in Boston (I have stayed in many of them). Check the Red Sox schedule before you book - it is a block from Fenway and can get noisy during games.

Trip Type: Romance Review 14 of 57Absolutely loved it
This was by far, the most wonderful hotel stay I have had. My husband and I were staying here to celebrate our 12th wedding anniversary. We love baseball - no matter who is playing - and they arranged for an early check-in so that we could make it to the Futures at Fenway game in plenty of time. Our room had an awesome view of Fenway Park. The location is great! Such a short walk to Fenway! The "T" station was right there and made it easy to get downtown for some sightseeing, too! And the staff was super friendly. They surprised us with Champagne and an anniversary card. What a wonderful treat! They also arranged to ship home all of the souvenirs we had bought and called me to confirm the ship method and carrier even after we'd checked out. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Boston. You couldn't ask for a better stay and a better location.
