The hotel was decorated well, contemporary and modern. The mattress was really comfortable. The air thermostat was broken so it was a bit difficult to get the right room temp. The elevator is going through an update, so was extremely slow. Parking was expensive and only valet is available. We did really like the hotel itself. The location was good and it was very clean. We would definitely recommend it for couples in their 30's who like to retreat but are close enough to nightlife and dining to walk.

This hotel was wonderful and felt like a home away from home while on vacation. The beds were very comfortable, and the room was spacious. Nice TV and bathroom as well. The location was perfect if you are planning on taking the San Diego Transit system, there are lots of bus stops near by and a transit center to buy bus passes a block away. The hotel is also a convenient walk to Horton Plaza Mall, Gaslamp, and lots of restaurants.

First time visiting San Diego. Couldn't ask for a better location. Bus stops right next door (public transport office right next door too)! 3-6th Street Gaslamp Quarter "short" 2-3 blocks down where great restaurants and nightlife. * sad no pool at hotel as would've liked to lay out and enjoy Cali sun. * very friendly, knowledgeable staff.

All was great, except for the elevators! A sign was posted in the lobby that they were 'updating' the elevators, therefore it sometimes took 5 minutes to get an elevator! Other than that, the hotel was clean, safe and beautifully decorated!

We were meeting some friends in San Diego to hang out in Gas Lamp. Perfect location, and price was great. We slept like babies :)

This hotel is located blocks from the popular gaslamp district and within one block of bus and trolley lines. (It's also just around the corner from a public transit store and a 7-11, both convenient places for a traveler!) The room was well-decorated and the service was stellar - I would definitely stay here again!
