Comfortable, clean, quiet and near everything

This hotel is clean and has a nice laidback atmosphere. It is laid out more like a motel, but the rooms are very comfortable and the staff was friendly and courteous. The beach was too dangerous for swimming but good for sitting on and reading, and Lydgate park is just up the street with a very safe rocked in beach for kids if you need it. Lots of restaurants nearby and not far from the airport or really anything else. (This is a small island.)

great room for the money

This hotel was a great deal! Our only complaint was that we booked a "partial ocean view" room that wasn't any closer to the ocean and didn't have a better view than the garden rooms that cost less. These are actually condos that are for sale, but are treated like hotel rooms. The staff was friendly and helpful. It had a great location and is located right next to the Coconut Marketplace (great food and shopping). We will stay here again.

Great view for the money.......

We had an ocean-front room and the view was outstanding, especially for the price. Some work may need to be done on the room we we in, such as new paint, and furniture. The biggest negative was the parking situation. Parking space was very limited and you could get towed if you parked in the wrong areas. We had to park pretty far away from the hotel if we came back after 8p.m. Overall this was a great value and we would stay again if we come back to Kauai.

Great beachfront value

Happy with everything, except that the room was a bit small for our family of 4.

A nice getaway

The room while a bit small was very nicely decorated, clean and had everything we needed for the week's stay. It's a very quiet location with a largely private beach which was perfect for relaxing. Plenty of shopping and restaurants were within a few minutes walk or drive. I would very much recommend the hotel for anyone wishing a quiet stay and a good base to explore the island.

Great Place

This was a very nice place. Only problem: no wifi in the rooms, so if you want to to use your laptop there, you need to the lobby. But....after all, you're on Kauai. Maybe you should forget about your laptop.

Excellent Hotel for the money

Did I luck out! Oceanfront room that was spacious and clean. I initially booked for 4 days and stayed for 10. Comfortable bed, peaceful surroundings, and within walking distance to plenty of shops and restaurants. Only complaint is that my oceanfront balcony was due for a paint job and the maid seemed to have lost her dust rag. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone who is looking for a clean comfortable convenient hotel. I think it's probably the best deal on the island.

Rude Staff / Noisy room

The Staff at the front desk was very rude and of no help when we asked for a couple of clean towels as we opted to forgo the cleaning of our room on one of the days. Another day at the front desk, we were made to wait about ten minutes for pool towels while she chatted on a personal phone call. Would recommend a room away from the maintenace and laundry facility. Very noisy early every morning.
