Trip Type: Family Review 1 of 21Very Friendly Boutique Hotel
This hotel is very easy to find and the staff is most helpful and friendly. The rooms (we had 3 for our group) were extremely comfortable, clean and well-stocked. The rooftop lounge was the perfect spot for a nightcap ... edgy music, phenomenal view and a heated outdoor area for stargazing. I would definitely return the next time we're in Chicago!

Trip Type: Family Review 2 of 21Great adult hotel
This place is great for adult travelers. Not having children this hotel is that much more attractive. The rooms are a little on the small side, but perfect for a couple. The bed was amazingly comfortable and the shower was great as well. The area is perfect for tourist or business travelers. It is 2 blocks from the mag. mile. A couple blocks from the "L" red line and within walking distance of dozens of restaurants. The roof top bar is also really nice. The breakfast vouchers that come with the room are an excellent value, but if you are counting on eating breakfast there you should make sure you are there an hour before breakfast ends to assure you get a table.

We really enjoyied the Dana Hotel. It was close to all the Chicago activity but was quiet and peaceful. It was a unique hotel. I would come back again.

Trip Type: Family Review 5 of 21Beautiful Hotel...Just Need to Change the Sheets
A very trendy hotel in a great location. Had to wait for a while since there was only one person working at the check-in desk, but not a big deal. My biggest issue was that as I was about to climb into bed, I noticed SEVERAL strands of hair that certainly did not belong to me. For a hotel this swanky, it's unbelievable that they don't change the bed sheets.

WE SNEEZED THE ENTIRE TIME WE WERE THERE. THAT WAS THREE NIGHTS!! THE CONTROL OF THE ELEVATOR WAS REMARKABLELY BAD. I WENT UP AND DOWN AND SPENT MUCH TIME ON THE ELEVATOR. SPOKE TO OTHERS ON ELEVATOR WHO WERE HAVING THE SAME EXPERIENCE!

Trip Type: Family Review 10 of 21Pay Attention to Elevator Instructions
The staff, rooms and locations are all top notch. Make sure you take advantage of the continental breakfast in the restaurant's dining area on the main floor. Red line and many bus lines are a very short walk. In the elevator you need to insert your key card before you press the floor to your room. Nice safety measure, but since we were on a lower floor sometimes we had to take a ride when others fumbled with their key cards. Overall experience was wonderful and we would happily stay at the Dana again.

Trip Type: Family Review 11 of 21Great Hotel
The Dana Hotel and Spa was great. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The location was great. It's an interesting hotel because it has a European flair. We felt that it was an exceptional value for the money we paid. It took a bit to get used to the shower because it didnt' have a door, but that was fine after a day or so.

Trip Type: Family Review 15 of 21Gem of a hotel right in the heart of things!
What a fantastic hotel. Great location, lovely rooms, nice fitness center/spa (very reasonably priced services)and attentive staff. While we got a very unique winter rate, even at twice the price it would have been a steal. The hotel is very well located-great access to some of the best restaurants, shopping and sites. The included breakfast is beyond the normal "continental" option offered by many. Cereals, premium teas, fresh pastries, fresh fruit, yogurt and juices. Additionally the hotel has a sophisticated elevator access system making it feel secure for single travelers. Didn't try the restaurants, but they looked good. Lounge on top floor is amazing. Would be lovely on a summer night for a drink.
