Outstanding

Thank You Dana Hotel, finally someone that remembers how to treat a customer. This was an outstanding trip. We arrived at the Dana we were met by the Valet staff, they took care of our car, they opened the door for us, they addressed us as sir and mame, They were curtious and were always attentive to us. We were always greeted and asked if we needed help, or were enjoying our stay, How is the room. Just top notch service. They turned down our beds just a wonderful place. The corner room was just the best I had my 25th anniversary at the Dana and would do it again. Love you Dana keep up the Good Work.

Loved the personal touch

Very friendly and helpful valet/doormen. Turn down service was a pleasant surprise. Stayed in a corner room...loved the floor to ceiling windows and view. New, clean, hip hotel.

Small but nice

The rooms were very small, but they were clean and modern. We brought a baby and hotel is not very condusive to babies. We got a great deal on hotels.com. Otherwise I would have chose a different hotel. The bar upstairs is fun and has great views of the city.

Dana hotel was exceptional!

This hotel exceeded our expectations. We stayed in a "Cozy King" catagory of room. It may have been a bit smaller than a normal hotel room but they made up for it in cleanliness and out of this world customer service. We are eazy travelers and dont need a bunch of wasted space so this room catagory fit us perfectly. It was reasonably priced for our budget but we were treated as if we spent hundreds more for the room. Our view was AMAZING - we had an awesome view of the city right from our bed. Can't say enough great things about this hotel!

AWESOME Hotel

Dana Hotel far exceeded our expectations! The style of the room was very sexy, the breakfast at the restaurant was excellent, and the top floor was stunning! We loved it!

Great Staff, Great Hotel!

We found this to be an excellent location to enjoy Chicago. Especially because the staff were extremely helpful giving us detailed information before we arrived. The decor is excellent in the public areas as well as the rooms. We found this to be a very comfortable place to stay. We would absolutely stay at the Dana again.

A very positive experience

Our expectations were exceeded-especially after having read some of the negative feedback given by others on review sites--however we had a great experience here and will absolutely stay again! Yes--the hotel does seem to attract "hip young 20-30 somethings, and yes the rooftop bar is going strong until the wee hours with this crowd, but as hip 40 somethings, we were quite comfortable staying here, and found the staff--everyone from the doormen, to the front desk personnel, to the housekeeping personnel to be very friendly, helpful and accommodating...not rude or "bothered" by any request or question we had. We arrived after midnight from a long flight, and actually were upgraded to a corner room with floor to ceiling windows--and an awesome view--such a wonderful surprise that we had not expected! We did not order room service, but did have the breakfast option included in our original reservation, and were given tickets to present for our breakfast, although we did not end up using them--preferring instead to sleep in a bit. Overall--great location, great restaurants nearby, funky decor, great experience and we're already planning to stay there next time we're in Chicago.

nice bed, but skip the breakfast

the trendy dana gave us a great rate on an advance-booked room. very-designery, and overall well run hotel. Music was a bit loud int the lobby sometimes, and the one of the cooncierge was curt and not helpful. But the biggest thumbs down goes to breakfast service at the hotel's aja resataurant. The food was fine, if sometimes cold, when it finally arrived, but the service was terrible. waiting 45 minutes for eggs and oatmeal? waiters walking around clueless? wasting half the morning trying to eat? not the way to start your morning on a vacation...

Outstanding Hotel

We loved the Dana hotel! It was close to Michigan Ave. There were great local restaurants within a block or two of the hotel. The Hotel/Spa staff catered to our every need. The price was excellent! We are definitly going back to this hotel!!
