Outsatnding Hotel

Staff was very friendly and helpful from the front desk immediately on entering the hotel. Leslie made all efforts to make our stay wonderful. Great location for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum. We enjoyed our first stay in Cleveland and already hope to return with our family for another stay. The room was outstanding for the price.

Very good value,

Very good value, great location, excellent free shuttle

Excellent Hotel

Check in was super easy, all employees were knowledgeable and friendly. Room was spotlessly clean, beds were comfortable. Main reason I chose Doubletree over other area hotels was the free shuttle, as parking is such a hit or miss kind of thing in Cleveland. I loved being able to park my car in the secure Doubletree lot and have the shuttle take me where I needed to go. I will definitely stay there again in the future and also will recommend to others.

The food could be a bit better.

Outstanding Hotel

We really enjoyed our stay. The executive lounge was a great added bonus. The parking was a bit expensive, but very convenient.

Great Location & Value

We stayed 5 nites. Found the hotel staff wonderfully helpful and agreeable (except for one lone grumpy front desk employee working nights). When we were surprised by a loud party in the adjoinng rooms we were immediately relocated with no questions. Try the hotel's restaurant-nice selections and good preparation. Our only real complaint, and it is a common one at this hotel, is they do have continuous elevator problems: one day we had to call the desk to have someone bring the elevator to our floor (9) to rescue us, and one day the garage elevator didn't work and we had to take the stairs down to the lobby. If you can handle the elevator woes, this is a great place to stay.

Budget Hotel - OK but not great

Hotel is located within walking distance of everything in Cleveland. Rock n Roll Hall of Fame, Brown's stadium, trendy warehouse district, etc all nearby. Indians stadium is either a long walk or short cab ride. Staff are nice, but the elevators are terrible. First, they haven't been cleaned this century. Not a good impression when you arrive and they didn't get any better during out stay. Also, they don't work often. On checkout day, Elevator bank of 4 had only 1 working and the cleaning staff hijacks them from 10-11 am so no one is allowed to leave their floor or leave the lobby during that time. You would think that the cleaning staff would look down and see how bad they look. Room was fine on our floor (Hilton Honors floor). It was clean and well appointed. Bathroom was well stocked with towels, shampoos etc, but it is small. Bed was comfortable. Very large closet. Overall - OK but not great.

Small Room great location

My room was about the size of a dorm room, me and my boyfriend were constantly jumping over each other. The shower would clog up everytime we got into it. The elevators took forever and were down for a long time forcing us to take the stairs. The air conditioner was extreamely loud. Its in a great part of downtown near the Science Center however, the room was less than impressive. I guess it was a good price considering it was downtown Cleveland and not too far from the nightlife action on 6th street.

Outstanding Hotel

Everyone who worked at the hotel went above and beyond to give quality customer service to their guests. The hotel provided a shuttle bus to the Public Square area. This shuttle bus was always available and they promptly came to pick up the hotel guests from their destinations from the downtown area until ll:00 p.m. They were always courteous and helpful. The staff at the front desk offered helpful hints, gave out cookies and had a friendly smile and hello whenever we went in or out of the hotel. The room accommodations were very comfortable, the room was clean and there were plenty of towels, toiletries, etc. On the final day of our stay the elevator was not working for a brief period of time. We were promptly given a complimentary breakfast and a porter brought down our bags and placed them in a room for safekeeping so we could enjoy the city even though we had officially checked out. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to explore Cleveland. You will not be disappointed.

Can't Beat this Hotel !!!!!

Great location and great price. I stayed at other hotels that are literally a block away as this by far is the nicest out of them all.

Nice upgrades, but needs further improvements

This is the hotel for the person needing access to anything and everything downtown. If you can take loud trains going by and airplanes flying above at all hours of the night, then this is the hotel for you. The main bedroom area was wonderful and the bed was so comfortable. The pillows are of down feathers are they give you enough (extremely soft) along with the pillowtop mattress and down comforter. I have not had a more comfortable night's rest in years! There were just a couple of drawbacks. One is the bathroom--although it was a nice size, it had no ventilation and there was mold in the corner of the tub and the floor had some spots of dirt in the corner. At one time, the staff left bags of garbage in the hallway near the entrance of the ice machine. The elevators were not vacuumed once day that I stayed there. Othere than those few incidentals, the stay was a nice one. They even give you warm chocolate chip cookies during your stay. All you have to do is ask for more and they oblige. Having access to a parking garage free of charge was very nice as well.
