Trip Type: Family Review 3 of 13Quiet and Elegent Hotel
We absolutely love staying here with our 2 small children. It is quiet, the suite is spacious and it is super close to the aquarium and other attractions. It is always elegant with wonderful service. Only wish it had a spa so I could slip away for a minute to myself!

Trip Type: Family Review 5 of 13Return to old New Orleans style and comfort
Windsor Court is a return to the old-fashioned opulence of days past. For some it will seem dated but to us, wonderfully New Orleans. The service is impeccable and friendly. We attended the New Orleans Wine and Food Experience. The location was ideal (nestled between Harrah's and Restaurant August). The room was spacious, comfortable, and luxurious. It was clean and neat with comforts such as a table with mirrors and lights outside the bathroom for my wife to put on her make up while I shaved. It even had a bidet, my wife's favorite convenience in the room. Years ago, having the TV rise out of its place at the foot of the bed would elicit, "ahhh!" but really all I saw was a dated tube-style TV. Nothing wrong with that, but it goes to show the Windsor Court's slightly aged feel. It is a five star (or 5 diamond) hotel in a four star suit. A little upgrading and it would be comparable to any modern, hip five-star hotel anywhere in the world. We would stay there again, anytime; and we will

We arrived and they upgraded us to a Suite for no additional charge. The location is perfect for all the main attractions. Mall across the street, Aquarium and French Market within walking distance. Very Family Friendly staff.

Trip Type: Family Review 10 of 13Huge Suite, Great for family
Within walking distance of the Riverwalk Mall, the Aquarium/Imax Theatre, Canal Place Mall and Cinema, Mother's Restaurant, Johnny's Po-Boy Restaurant, the casino, carriage rides, and the trolley. Great pool, excercise room, room service, restaurant, tea on the weekends, and the feeling you are in a very safe hotel. Service in the restaurant was extremely slow. Not the place to eat if you are in a hurry.

Trip Type: Family Review 12 of 13Past its prime
When I lived in New Orleans and could never afford to stay at the Windsor Court, it was known as the blue-chip hotel in the city and we only dreamed about staying there. When we returned for a visit and could afford it, I was disappointed. It seems to be past its prime...we had a full suite, but everything seemed a little worn around the edges. The "butler's pantry" was odd, cabinetry like in a cheap timeshare, but with no silverware, no microwave, an old, gold-colored refrigerator converted into a makeshift mini-bar and a fax machine on top of the non-functioning stove. Bedding was also disappointing, I've become accustomed to down comforters, but they had the blanket-sheets combination. Staff walked into the suite with deliveries twice without knocking while we were in the room. It's a beautiful place, but just not the blue-chip, flawless execution I've seen at other hotels in its class.
