Trip Type: Special Event Review 1 of 38No excuse
I'm not sure if it was the dirty washcloth and towel left in the bathroom or the fact that my door didn't lock(at all) and I had to wait a day to get a new room or maybe that the only outlet that worked in the second room was so loose that you had to hold the plug in while things were charging, maybe it was the huge wet stain(not a permanent stain, but a not washed stain) on my sheets but I would only recommend this hotel to someone I didn't like or maybe a really really drunk person looking to stumble back from the bars.

The hotel is older, but for the price and comfortable bed and cleanliness, can't beat it. I am going to stay there again on my next trip to Orlando.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 3 of 38If you want to be in downtown Orlando on the cheap, this is the place!
First off I will admit, this ain't the Ritz.... but the location, two blocks north of Lake Eola Park in downtown Orlando, is perfect if you are partying downtown. The rooms do have burn holes in the blankets, worn out and stained towels, and the hall carpeting looks like it almost survived a Boone's Farm convention held in it. BUT our room had features important to us in addition to its great location: excellent wireless internet, coffee maker and supplies, microwave & dorm refrig, quiet efficient A/C, and our own balcony. These features are rarely found in hotels in the price category anywhere around Disney World. We walked the few blocks to Lake Eola for the Fourth of July festivities and enjoyed everything thoroughly; in fact, if you get a room on the south side, you can see the event from your balcony. Staff was friendly and helpful, and there is a small pool along the south side.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 4 of 38Long Wait
I decided to book this hotel because of it's closeness to the Amway Arena and the price. For the price of the hotel, the room was spacious and very clean. The hallways have a funky smell to them and everything is kind of bland. On the upside, they have a coffee maker in your room and there is a diner next door with a 10% off discount to quests with the hotel. The only way I was very dissatisfied was the fact that it took 3 hours for our room to be ready, but that is only because me and my friend went during American Idol auditions so it was understandable. Overall, a 4 out of 5.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 6 of 38Can't beat the price or location
We recently stayed here to attend a Fleetwood Mac concert at the Amway Arena. The location was blocks away and we took the free bus to the show and a rickshaw on the way back! The Hotel staff was very helpful in arranging both for us. The Hotel was cleaner, neater and in better condition than expected from other reviews. We were very pleased. There is a diner next door we had breakfast at ( with our Hotel discount) and the stay was perfect and complete!

I was a little afraid because the price was good but the help was friendly and the rooms were nice. Its an older hotel but it was clean and I felt safe. The down town area is VERY clean and events are in walking distance.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 10 of 38Stay Away!
Unsafe neighborhood. Staff was not friedly, Room was hot and smelled like an ash tray and a carton of smoked cigs' after a non-smoking room was requested. Bathroom was gross w/mold and hair all over the floor and in the shower w/tiles popping off the shower walls. Very loud hallways during the late night hours. Location only good if your going to a Magic game, other than that don't bother! I'm usually not one to complain about a bed to sleep in but please stay away from this place.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 11 of 38Much Improved!
My mom and I had stayed there a few years back to attend a conference and it was "you get what you paid for". We decided to try again and were pleasantly surprised. The carpet had been replaced, the room painted and it was a great value for the money! The walls are still a little thin and the bathrooms tiny and need a little TLC, but what a difference! The staff is very friendly and the rooms and sheets are clean. Towels need to be replaced, but overall it was a wonderful stay.

Certainly NOT a fancy hotel, but what do you expect at the price?! A big surprise for us was the comfort of the bed! We slept SO well!

My wife and I attended the Magic vs Celtics game and just wanted a hotel that was cheap and close to the arena. I wish we had spent some extra money and gotten a better hotel. The room was clean, the bathroom was very tiny, and the walls are paper thin. If you ever stay here, ask for a room away from the laundry room. Besides the numerous people yelling all night up and down the hall, the cleaning ladies decided to have loud conversations from 5 in the morning until we left at 10. Its loud in the laundry room, so of course, they had to yell over the machines. I assumed they were robots, because it seemed like a breath was never taken between the two of them. Again, the room was what we paid for, a cheaper price than all the other hotels, but it would have been so much better had we just paid a little extra and gotten a much nicer stay.
