Much better than expected

The room was in excellent condition, renovated, nice bathroom, nice bedspreads, and spacious. One step out the back door and I could see a sliver of the ocean (good enough considering I didn't expect to see itfrom my room). The hallway needs reburbishing, but who spends much time in a hallway? Hot buffet breakfast was excellent. I would definitely stay here again.

great hotel for the beach

Nice place... small rooms, ok clean, nice to beach, good breakfast.

Comfortable Beds

Hotel had not been renovated in awhile. Bathrooms could use an overhaul. Beds were very comfortable and the staff was pleasant and helpful. Pool was a little small and the buffet opened at 7:00am which left us without breakfast because we had to be at our meeting by 6:30am.

Great Breakfast!

When I heard this restaurant offered a free breakfast, I expected a continental breakfast -- the kind I always pass up. What a pleasant surprise to find eggs, bacon, sausage (all the things I should avoid, but love so much) along side fruit, cereal, juices, coffee, everything! Oh, and the room was great too :-) SKO in NYC

Just nice

The upgrade to a sundeck room wasn't worth the price difference but the hotel had a helpful staff and a good breakfast. The $5 charge for parking was dumb.

Excelent Service and very handy Location

Excelent service and very handy location. One thing the impressed me the most,was that due to my flight, was delayed arriving at Fort Lauderdale; I arrived at the Hotel almost 1:45AM and I was able to have a philly chesse steak delivery to my room with the help of the front desk guy; I really appreciated that effort.

More than satisfied.

When I saw the rate I wasn't expecting much. Boy was I surprised. The front desk staff was very friendly, the room was modern and very clean. The bed and pillows were very comfy, but I was most impressed with the breakfast. Scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, corned beef hash and of course, all the other stuff you normally get with a free breakfast. I am so satisfied, I extended my stay two more days.

Needs Updating

This was a great location, but an old hotel that could really use updating. Tiki bar is nice, restaurant good, right on the intracoastal is lovely, and location is right across the beach. If you like "old Floirda" it's fine, out of season rates are reasonble.

cable channel selection poor

Of all the hotels I've ever stayed in, this had the worst selection of cable channels I have ever experienced. My flight down there had more entertainment. 15 channels, and five of them were showing basketball. I will look for another hotel next year. On the positive side, the breakfast buffet was very good.
