great hotel. beds are horrible

The hotel was great, the beds were so uncomfortable. i had a real bad weekend in that room because of the beds, they didnt have anything else available because the hotel is equiped with the sleep number beds... i have tried all different settings and nothing accomodated my sleeping needs, so not only did i have an aching body, i could not relax.

not bad for the price

We needed a hotel room downtown so we could be close to the light rail (and not drive). The light rail was right across the street so the convienance factor was GREAT. However the area of town is kind of old and the hotel is old. We didn't need a "fancy" place, we just wanted an average place. For the money, we got what we wanted.

Very Nice

The number beds were the best. I slept like a baby. Surrounding neibor hood was not the best but over all the hotel was great.

Scary Parking

Hotel was very clean and staff very friendly, for the price you can't go wrong. The only downfall is the parking structure. There is no access to the hotel from the parking area and it is very dark an feels unsafe.

Great room for the money

Entrance not easily seen from street. No sign large enough to be seen when driving up street. Sign rather small, low to ground. Had to drive past hotel twice to see it. Map directions from MSN site not very good to locate the hotel. Staff very courteous. Check-in quick and efficient. Pleasantly surprised at complimentary breakfast buffet for members of the military, active or retired, and dependants as well. Very good breakfast buffet. Courteous, attentive service by dining staff. No refrigerator, hair dryer in room. Wasn't something of significant importance since I stayed only one night. Closet door hit light in ceiling in front of it due to domed light cover. This was inconvenient for accessing putting clothes, suitcase in closet. Would be better if light cover had been flush with ceiling. Overall, very nice place to stay. Sleep number beds very comfortable. Will stay there again some time in future.

most radisson are awesome

when we arrived to the hotel at check in time they did not have a room for us we had to wait an hour and a half in the lobby just so they could get us room that we booked in advance. they had a wedding that saturday and lost those peoples reservations and all their plans that were booked 8 months in advance. i love radisson hotels but this one was a joke. i dont recommend it.

Ripoff

This hotel including many in Tucson are a complete ripoff. I can get so much more in a better location in Phoenix for less money.

Needs Improvement

The major cause of my rating this hotel less than mediocre is due to lack of customer service. No one seemed to really know when the restaurant was open or when room service was operational. Called to get room service but told room service was not available. Front desk said I would need to come to the restaurant for service. I go to the restaurant and they had decided to close early because they were not busy...not a pleasing experience. When I complained at the desk, the staff member said, "Oh, sorry. I can't help you." The furniture in the room was very worn. I thought the hotel had been recently "remodeled" but apparently a remodel is newer carpet and paint on the walls. The mattress was like a brick as was the sofa. If there is another hotel in the area offering a similar price, I would chose THAT hotel...and I was in the "cabana suites."

Great room- nice and clean

We stayed 7 nights and it was a wonderful experience. Hotel staff was very attentive- and the bar on the main floor is great. They also have a very nice courtyard. I would stay there again.

Excellent value

The hotel is a little hard to find the first time. The staff was friendly and the price was right. The rooms facing the courtyard are best if you really want it as quiet as possible. I can highly recommend the breakfast buffet.

hotel had some good points,also some bad points

hotel had one restaurant and one bar. pool was not heated in march 2008 and the water was cold. this hotel is located down town and most of the area was under constructions. all and all we had a good time. thank you

Nice hotel

The hotel is good, its a 3 to 3.5. Great pool area! But, it is in the middle of nowhere - construction all over downtown phoenix makes it a real pain to get around.

Keep it as an option...

Most of the staff was friendly save the first day at check in. They told us that they didnt have a room with two beds as we had reserved and only had a room with a king bed in it. They said that the reservation was merely a Request for two rooms and not a Guarantee. That was my biggest gripe. At first they acted as if nothing could be done but then they magically found a room with two beds. Other than that, they were helpful with directions and suggestions. They have a pool but it's not heated. The rooms are nice and comfortable. They were also very clean. It's a very dead part of town but it's not too far from the airport. Nothing much to do in walking distance. You need a car to get to anything worthwhile.
