Small but clean as you expected 4 star hotel. But the air condition is nose and louder than motel 6.

Trip Type: Family Review 5 of 39Great hotel
We stayed at this hotel during our family trip to California. Great hotel, perfect location. Pool is small and crowded, prices at BLVD 16 restaurant are very expensive however food and service were great. For those who like spa - this hotel does not have one, they provide in-room massages by some outside company. Overall, this is a great place to stay.

I enjoyed the Hotel Palomar and my stay there. The rooms were clean and i liked some of the extras (magnifying mirror in the bathroom, iron and ironing board in the closet) The only thing I missed was that I wish that the hotel offered a hot tub or jacuzzi to its patrons. Everything was excellent and we had a great time in LA

Trip Type: Family Review 7 of 39Very nice Hotel. Great Service.Rooms are a little small if you have a family of 4.
When we arrive we were greeted by valet. Be prepared for a $30 a day charge for parking. We didn't mind becuase it was a nice service and I knew about this in advance from other customer reviews. The hotel website does not mention this so if I wouldn't have known about this I know I would have felt ripped off since my other hotels didn't charge me for parking. Lobby very nice. Employees friendly. Rooms beautiful. We stayed in a deluxe vista rooms w/2 double beds. We stayed in 3 different hotels during our California stay (all with the same ratings for the same price)this Hotels room was the smallest with the smallest beds. We are a family of 4 ( 2 adults, 2 tweens) We stayed for 3 days. We were very crowded but we managed. The only other thing I didn't like was that the only way to and from the pool to the elevators was walking past the Hotel restaurant which was also right around the corner from the Lobby. It made me feel like we needed to look presentable even after we went swimming which is kind of difficult considering your drenched. Even with these issues we still had a wonderful time and we were always treated well by the Hotel and employees.

My wife daughter and I stayed at Hotel Palomar in July 09. We were very pleased with the experience and would stay there again. Yes the pool lacked regular sun, the rooms were a bit small and the daily parking fee was a drag but the staff were very very nice particularly the valet(s) and our view from 19th floor was spectacular. Hotel is centrally located to most attractions and walking distance to Westwood Village shopping and restaurants. We drove to Santa Monica pier in less than 15min. Universal Studios in less than 25min. Coffee service and NY Times everyday were nice touch.

Trip Type: Family Review 10 of 39Outstanding Hotel and Location
We loved the Palomar. It is a beautiful hotel in an outstanding location in Westwood. It was a pleasant walt to Westwood Village where we were able to dine and visit the UCLA campus. Service was outstanding, the hotel lobby and rooms were clean and well kept. Complimentary newspapers and coffee/tea were a bonus.
