Trip Type: With Friends Review 1 of 27We'd stay again.
Interesting sense of time travel to somewhere in the early 70s. However - the staff was terrific, the bar fantastic, and even with the odd decor, the place was really nice for the price.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 2 of 27Great room for the money
You cannot beat the location of the Sea Club Resort. It is right on the beach, and is within walking distance of all the bars and restaurants on A1A. The rooms are small and clean. Though, the mattress was not as comfortable as I would have liked, for what we paid, it was well worth it. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly, and overall, I enjoyed my stay. I would definitely recommend it to those who are looking for an afordable place to stay. If you care more about luxury, then this may not be the hotel for you.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 3 of 27Great location; poor overall condition
generally poor conditions in the room due to the carpet showing alot of wear, beat-up furniture, sliding door would not operate without much force, permanent rust stains in the bathroom. Then again, the price was much less expensive for the location.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 5 of 27What we expected
Definately got what we were expecting for the amount we paid. However, that said, this hotel was in the perfect location for our needs, while still being in the budget. If you're not planning on spending alot of time in the room, this is a pretty good place to be.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 7 of 27Spring Break '09
**READ BEFORE*** I am a 20 year old college student from Kentucky who went to Fort Lauderdale, looking not so much for a stay in a nice luxurious hotel, but to mostly have a good time with my friends and drink a couple beers. Even after two years of living in filthy dorms this hotel experience was a huge shock. First of all upon entering the room there were pubic hairs on the commode and long female hairs in the shower. Being a 20 year old male i tried to overlook these things and move on. On our third night at the hotel rains came and upon my return to our room at around 4am and found a steady stream of water coming from the roof onto my suitcase. Not being too upset i went to the front desk to find a different room for me and my three freinds. The manager on duty put us in a room with only one bed for the four of us guys to share. The next morning i went back down to the desk to request a price reduction or some type of compensation and was told they didnt offer any compensation even though my entire suitcase was soaked. The manager gave me a free drink coupon and thought that was substantial. You should definatly consider before renting this hotel. There is a hotel directly next to this one, which i ended up getting a room at that i reccomend for all you looking for a cheap stay.
Hotel Response
We regret to hear about the customer’s negative experience. Sometimes technical problems occur, and faced with an unexpected leak while being sold out, our night staff offered the only available room with a king size bed and rollaway beds as a temporary alternative. A new room was made available the next morning. We also washed all affected clothing and waived an extra person charge from the bill. We are sorry the guest left unhappy.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 12 of 27On the shabby side but on the beach!
The hotel looks really nice in the lobby and the restaurant is good, however, the room itself left something to be desired. Half of the lights didn't work and some of the outlets looked scary in their disrepair. Also, it was chilly and there was no way to make the room warmer--though the man at the desk tried to convince me that the air conditioner could heat up the room. The location is great though--the beach is right accross the street and they provide towels and beach chairs.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 14 of 27Needs Improvment, but OK
The hotel is right on the beach and very near the "in" part of Ft. Lauderdale. The hotel is outdated, but at the same time is was clean and staff was friendly. I hated the fact that they charged $2 a day to an in-room safe that we never used. I would stay there again, but not on my honeymoon.
