Great room for the money!

An older, quaint hotel that does need some improvements; however, the staff were very helpful, rooms were clean, staff responsive to needs and requests. We would definitely return as we had a fun trip and excellent stay!

Just need a Room

If you just a need a place to sleep, it's more than adequate. Great location directly across the street from the beach.

Stay away!

This hotel had little to offer other than a great location right on the beach. The building is very dirty and so rundown, minimal maintenance noted. Place is a sad eyesore in an otherwise nice area. Couldn't tell you when the hallway rug was vacuumed last, gross! If you walk barefoot in your room, your feet get black!!!. Housekeeper didn't even have a mop on her cart, so how was she mopping the bathroom floor? Saw a roach! Room furnishings were worn down and shabby. The hotel had a complimentary breakfast but they said we couldn't eat there because we had hadn't booked directly with them and so we "hadn't paid the full price." Parking lot spaces were so tight, worried that my rental would get scratched. Definitely not a case of: "Get what you paid for." More a case of "buyer beware." Not worth the money, stay away from this place!

old, ugly hotel in great location in need for an upgrade

this is a very ugly hotel in a great spot which should be replaced by a newer, nicer and cleaner place.

great stay

we were very pleased with our stay. the room was comfortable, the location outstanding, the pool nice, the staff extremely helpful, the shower was even great. the parking could always be better at the beach, and a computer with internet service would be nice, but not necessary when you're right on the beach!

Great location but needs improvement

Hotel is kitschy-60's decor which was amusing and somewhat charming but for the price, the mattresses and pillows were flimsy, carpet was filthy and room smelled rankishly of stale smoke even though had been deemed a "smoke free"facility. Smelled dank and nasty. Went through cans of room deodorizer, not much help. Would recommend that they paint everything and change all carpets (change, not clean, need new carpet badly), then might be ok. The smell was nauseating. Pool area nice, recently updated. Location great, across from beaches and down the street from chi-chi hotels with nice restaurants. Staff were friendly but amazingly seemed immune to the funky smell, the lobby smelled really bad too.

needs improvement

Hotel proximity to beach was the only redeeming quality. For what the room cost, I expected a lot more. The place looked old, not well maintained. The sliding glass door in our room didn't even have a lock on it. The bed was not comfortable and the linens looked old.

Hey...needed a place to stay

Needed a place to stay. That was it. Close to the beach. The place did smell funny and all. Clean sheets on the bed. People need to quit whining about stuff. There are no dead bodies or anything. I wouldn't want to stay there for a week straight or anything. I just looked at lowest price and location.

Great time

It's an older hotel and there is alot of construction in the area but we enjoyed our stay and had a great time. Everyone was extremely nice and helpful-the food and drinks in the patio were great and we were right on the beach!

if you want by the beach for decent price...

decent for the price and location...the suite wasn't what we expected...wanted to be able to separate the kids, but it turned out to be one larger room. We were a little disappointed, but survived.
