I really didn't like their parking policies and overall satisfaction of our stay was the best.

A place to sleep

It was in a great location for where we were going in miami. It was old, a little stale air, and needed paint. But it was a place to sleep that served its purpose.

the worst hotel

there was not one thing near the hotel the best thing in the hotel was the main lobby. the rooms need to be painted the bathroom was not as big as the closet. you need to take off the web site.

Horrible

The lights did not work except for in the bathroom. It smelled. The bed springs were broke and poking us while we sleep. Carpet dirty, and writing all over the walls. Over all, the most horrible place I've ever seen or stayed at. Location was good though.

need improvement

The Downtown Bayside Hotel, customer services was horrible. The front desk employees were not friendly at all. The hotel could stand some renovations their are no microwaves or irons. Most of the time we were staying there are room eas cleaned only once and that was the night brfore check out, after many complaints. We switched rooms once already becasue the thermastat was broken. Only one elevator was functional for most of are stay so you either had to wait a long time or take the steps and we were on the top floor. I wouldn't recommand this hotel to anyone unless you just want a plce to lay your head.

Needs a lot of work

I and a friend booked this hotel on here for a weekend away from home. 1st off there is not parking lot you have to pay for parking which cheapest we found was $15 a night, unless you drove a motorcycle and then it was $20 a day. We received one key even though there was two of us and the key they use is a long plastic key that looks like a cheese grater. When we asked for a second key we were informed there was only one key to our room. Our room was on the top floor so we had to take the elevators which shake very hard and make popping noises when they arrive at every floor. Our room was something you might expect if staying in a 3rd world country. The paint was bubbling and chipping off and the one wall that was blue had black shoe marks all over like someone had tried to play basketball on it. There is hardly any internet connection on the top floor which I think that the connection from the hotel next to us was the one we ended up using. Then to top it all off the tv only had 3 channels in English the rest were all Spanish. I will never stay at this hotel again and will never recommend it to anyone unless they just need a bed to sleep in for one night. Very horrible hotel for its location.

The hotel is very outdated and needs alot of updating. Very old rooms.

not even for my worst enemy

room smelled like 100 dirty ashtrays, even though this is a smoke-free environment. linens poor quality, wrinkly--as if someone already slept in bed.

Needs a lot of upgrades

The hotel looks like its from the 1940's and hasn't been changed much since. If you just need a place to lay your head then it works but if you are looking for quality I would not recommend this.

Owner Should Be Embarrassed

The owner of this hotel should be embarrassed! The Continental ownership needs to re-do the carpet, they need to get new furniture, new televisions, draps, and they might want to try painting and cleaning a bit more as well. If I owned this hotel, I'd be embarrassed for anyone to see it. I hope that they will take some money to start renovating each floor as they can.

the place was a dump

the bed was old and uncomfortable the carpet was torn. the elevators out of date and very slow-- no cable Tv in the room.. I called the front desk for a wake up call and they acted annoyed . no glassware in the room . no vending machines in the hotel
