Great hotel at a bargain compared to most downtown

Great hotel. Very attentive staff and new modern rooms. Great location in heart of downtown Chicago. Would highly recommend this hotel to others and will stay here again.

Great location. Outstanding accommodations

Hotel is located 1/2 block from Michigan Avenue shopping, two blocks from happening Rush Street, three blocks to Lake Michigan. Room was quiet, clean, modern. Parking garage directly across from hotel. Will definitely stay here again.

Very Nice Valentine's Day

Spent two nights in one of the "junior suites" (I think it might have been a free upgrade!?). It was gorgeous. Plenty of space and the ambiance was perfect. I'd definitely stay there again! Oh yes the restaurant had fairly good food, and the skybar was incredible as well!

Excellent hotel - good large rooms - new furnishings. Fun rooftop bar, good small restaurant, excellent location.

Favorite Hotel in Chicago

This is our favorite hotel in Chicago and we've stayed here 4-5 times now in the last year. It's comfy, modern and has a quirky sense of humor to it. All of the Affinia hotels we've seen pretty much do. Great location, wonderfully attentive service. Loyal customer to the Affinia right here. Keep up the good work!

Needs improvement

The valet service was horrible. Took over half an hour to get my car each time. Bath tub drain plugs up. Hair dryer didn't work initially.

Outstanding

We got a promotional price and I couldn't believe how awesome the deal was. The hotel was definitely 4 stars. The staff was wonderful. I ordered the $10 internet b/c I forgot my laptop and that didn't work so great but everything else was fabulous. I would definitely stay here again!

Would stay again

The Affinia Chicago is a great hotel, the concierge was very helpful as was Daniel (I believe the bellman?). The only reasons I gave a couple 4's were because we locked our door the first night and the next morning we could not get out! The responded quickly and the maintenance engineer realized it was going to take awhile to fix the door properly so he called the front desk immediately to get us a different room and someone to help with our bags. Also, the first room's shower did not drain well and I hate having to stand in water that is about to my ankles! But the 2nd room did not have any issues. One other thing to note, and I don't know if it is all suites or not, but the 2 rooms we were in had a full size bed - so keep that in mind if you like a big bed!
