Trip Type: Family Review 3 of 19Great for the Money
The hotel was great. The service was good also and there are 2 good resturants and other shops within walking distance. You get a 10% discount at the Wailana Restaurant which is open 24 hrs a day just at the corner and also at the IHOP next to the lobby. My only complaint would be the parking. It was $20.00 per night which can be pretty pricey if you stay there for an extended period.

Trip Type: Family Review 4 of 19Great Hotel and Location.
This location is central to most of Waikiki. The shuttle service stops right in front of the Hotel. No need for a car since the public transit is very good. Their information desk was staffed with very knowledgeable people and very helpful.

Trip Type: Family Review 5 of 19Great hotel for the money.
We have stayed here a few times and the only complaint is the slow slow elevator system. However this time I did go for a massage....one of the best I've ever had and it was interuppted with maintenance pounding above me. When I complained to the front desk nothing was really done about it.

Trip Type: Family Review 6 of 19Good Value
We were there recently, and there were 2 elevator's open, so the wait was not too bad most the time. Everything else was nice. Our room was smallish, but had plenty of room for 2 people. Having a frig and microwave was fantastic! And $20 a day for parking is a crazy bargain in Waikiki. There's an IHOP in building (next to the lobby), and you are very close to the beach and Ala Moana. For what we paid, you can't ask for much more.

Trip Type: Family Review 8 of 19For the money I won't complain about the elevators
You can't stay anywhere for the what it cost at this hotel. The rooms were modern, clean and had the kind of convieneces you want when doing Waikiki on a budget. The Hotel is in a perfect location, between the Alamona shopping center(go right when leaving Hotel) and Waikiki beach (walk left) so we never even took "The Bus" this trip, except to Diamond Head which is too far a walk from any hotel. When you leave the Hotel there's a McDonalds and Subway to the right about a 100 yards and an ABC store to the left right around the corner (There's an ABC store on every corner) The only problem is the elevators are being worked on so get a lower floor is you can and don't want to wait to go up. Also remember, the first 4 or 5 floors are parking so the 3rd floor is actually the 8th floor. Walking down is not problem but after a day in the sun you may have to wait for an elevator. the pool didn't look very inviting and didn't notice anyone using it but hey you're in Waikiki, who uses the hotel pool. Overall a great experience. I'm a Hilton Gold member and I'm picky but I can spot a great deal and this hotel was it.

Trip Type: Family Review 9 of 19Everything was great except the elevators
The hotel was very nice and a very good value. I was impressed with our rooms cleanliness, niceness, and convenience. The only problem with the Hotel was the elevators, which are supposed to be in the process of being replaced. I had to climb 6 flights of stairs one day because I had already waited over 15 minutes for the elevators to pick me up at the 2nd floor... they always work at the main level and take you up, but getting down and getting from any other level up or down can be a real issue. I would suggest you call the hotel and ask if the elevators have been replaced, unless you like climbing stairs.

Trip Type: Family Review 11 of 19Hidden Treasure
We arrived at Aqua Palms late on Saturday night, were greeted like old friends, and quickly processed into our room. The hotel is an older building directly across from Hilton Hawaiian Village, with great access to the Waikiki area. Parking is available in the building and the room was quite comfortable. We tend to use hotels as a place for a good nights sleep, with our waking hours spent around the area. Aqua Palms was great for our purposes. The price obtained thru hotels.com is probably the cheapest available in Waikiki. I was very pleasantly surprised by how nice and how convenient it turned out to be!

Trip Type: Family Review 13 of 19Bumped but happy
Could not rate this specific hotel because we were not able to stay there. When we arrived at the Aqua Palms we were told that they had water damage to the rooms and would not be able to accommodate us with our reservation. They bumped us to another hotel that was right on the beach and very satisfactory. They also paid our cab fare to make the change.

Room was guaranteed 3:00 check-in. We arrived at 3:00, but did not get a room until 4:00; even then we had to continually ask if our room was ready even after they had checked others in ahead of us.

Trip Type: Family Review 15 of 19Great room for the money
The hotel location is very convenient to almost everything. The beach is just a block away, very condusive to "early morning walks" on the beachfront. Public transportation (The Bus)is right in front of the hotel & there are free shuttles for those who "live to shop". Shopping malls are within walking distance. The hotel staff is very courteous, friendly and always ready to help. Excellent coffee in the lobby. Continental break evey morning is a plus. We would like to mention Anastasia who tends the breafast room during weekdays. She is very friendly and have a pleasant desposition. She gave us some very useful tips such as free show every Friday nights at a nearby hotel. Overall the hotel have met our expectation.
