Our room smelled as though they had shampooed the carpet with a disinfectant and didn't rinse it off. It was very overwhelming. The Continental Breakfast was very good--lots of choices.

Trip Type: Rest and Recreation Review 8 of 44A Hold on my Credit Card
I paid for my hotel through hotels.com, yet LaQuinta charged my credit card. The charge is still pending on my card and I am wondering if it will come off or not. It has been several days. They told me it would already be off. They also told me to call my bank and have them call LaQuinta. I don't understand how a business can do that. Can you not hire enough dependable help? I specifically asked when I checked in if my card would have a "hold" placed on it and she said "no". Also, we arrived at around 2:30 and asked for a roll-a-way bed and they said they didn't have one available at that time. Well, they didn't have one available the entire time we were there.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 11 of 44A Happy Surprise
We stayed in this hotel from Monday afternoon to Friday mid-morning, while our nearby home was being treated for pests. We were very pleasantly surprised by several things. First surprise, especially because of some negative reviews, was the cleanliness. Everything was fresh, clean, and well-scrubbed. Second surprise was the quality of the bed and bath linens. We paid a VERY low price. As a result, I expected towels to be small and worn through. Instead, they were thick, plush, absorbent, and a nice (though not huge) size. Bed linens were also fresh, and there were enough blankets available that I suspect we could have snuggled down comfortably in a place much, much colder. There were two other happy surprises: the beds were among the most comfortable we've ever slept in, and both of us are very difficult to please. Finally, we were astounded at how much quieter the LaQuinta was than we had expected. We had I-95 on one side of us, the airport very nearby, and cars running at the race track all night. To our amazement, the noise inside was limited, even though the noise outside was very, very loud. We could hear the occasional commercial aircraft take off, and we could hear a very quiet murmur coming into the room from the race track. However, even the quietest personal conversations were carried on with ease. As if all that were not enough, the staff was friendly, willing to chat a while without interrupting their work flow, and delightfully diverse. If you MUST have a microwave and mini-fridge in your room, then this is not the place for you. But if you're happy with great beds, plenty of hot water, a decent breakfast (included), and keeping your sodas in the family cooler, then we strongly recommend you use this hotel. (One additional note: we read someone's review when they were complaining about the non-existent but advertised "ocean view". That's the LaQuinta at the beach, folks. Check the addresses before you book the hotel. There's more than one LaQuin

The hotel was fine. Especially for the price except they are having some drainage problem because the tub in our bathroom was not draining properly. It was disgusting to stand in the shower water.
