Trip Type: Business Review 3 of 12Needs imrpovement
I stayed at both single rooms and dorm rooms at this place. The dorm rooms either smell like cigaretes or greasy food. When I stayed at the single room for a couple nights, a very rude staff member tried to kick me out as if I were an intruder even though a very kind staff member told me I could stay in that room for two nights. The only good thing about this place is cheap rate. Don't expect anything else.

Trip Type: Business Review 4 of 12It is what it is
This was my first hostil experience. I will never stay in a hostil again but it was probably worth the money in NYC.

Trip Type: Business Review 6 of 12Affordable & Nice location
The hotel staff were polite and friendly, but the building was old and seemed poorly maintained. I found my bed to be somewhat lumpy and wondered how often bathrooms and hallways were cleaned. Overall, however, I was outside enjoying New York and attending a conference, so the hotel served its purpose: i.e., giving me a safe place to sleep at night. But don't expect great comfort. The room was bare: no desk, no chair, only a bed, bedside lamps, and a TV that didn't work. Nevertheless, I'd stay at this place again if I couldn't find a cheaper place. It is close to the subway (line 1, 103rd st) and only a short walk to Central Park.

Trip Type: Business Review 10 of 12Doors have peep holes covered with duct tape
The room I stayed in had a hole in the door I'm guessing for a peep hole but it was two way. The worst part is that it was covered with duct tape. When I got up in the morning the tape was falling off and if someone wanted to they could look in at me sleeping.
