I was very glad that I got free upgrade from city view to ocean view. Also, its location was perfect for shopping , bus stop, and suttle bus,etc.

The hotel was nice, I think we paid a bit much for the size of the room. We did have the ocean and diamondhead view that we paid for. The bathroom was tiny and the room overall felt a bit cramped. Also, we requested a late check out by a half an hour and they wouldn't accomadate us. Kind of disappointing. However, the staff was great, from the server at the patio bar to the woman who delivered our room service to the valet, they were fabulous. Overall, don't pay for the extra view, it's not worth it.

The hotel is located within walking distance of a wide variety of things to do. It is near the beach, shopping and the zoo amongst others. I would consider this a "nice middle of the road" hotel, and the hospitality throughout the hotel made this a special experience.

the room was purchased as a deluxe diamondhead ocean view, we got to the room and were not satisfied with the view or size compared to the listing from your website. there was nothing deluxe about it.

Our stay was very pleasant. It's a very beautiful hotel and conveintly located in downtown Waikiki. Just a short walk to the beach, shopping and lovely places to eat. No need for a car.

We enjoyed this hotel. Stayed with my spouse and 2 adult children in separate rooms. Resturants were wonderful and very frienly people. Rooms were very comfortable and large.

This is supposed to be a marriott? I don't think so, the rooms are old, the carpet very dirty, there is no door to the main bathroom area but a door to the toilet, so when my two and half year old was sleeping in the room, the light from the bathroom would constantly wake her up.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 13 of 13Mariott Waikiki OK for brief stay
Beach is across a busy street from the hotel. Construction on the beach and lack of hotel support on the beach is a turnoff - wish I'd known ahead of time. Prompt resolution of problems with the room, (inoperable, safe, clogged toilet) was impressive. Good concierge services. Bar services at pool were slow; two pools with one always in teh shade during the day - a turnoff for tanners.
