Trip Type: With Friends Review 1 of 31Not the worst out there...
I spent the weekend at this hotel, and overall it really wasnt that bad. The hotel was a little dated, but very clean. the rooms were nothing special, but considering I was in town to see the town, not to spend it in my room, it worked just fine. the only problem we really had the whole weekend was with our key cards- out of the 3 we were given at first, only 1 opened the door. We got 3 new cards from teh front desk, and they were difficult at best. I do admit, i wish the rooms had come with a fridge, but other than that, no complaints. The valet parking was actually relativly cheap for a hotel in LA, only about $20 a night. The location wasnt bad, right accross the street from the metro, but not somewhere i'd decide to walk around. If you have the use of a car its located nicely between downtown, beverly hills and hollywood.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 2 of 31Clean, Comfy, Convenient
Overall the Hotel is very nice. Based on some reviews I read I was a little weary. However, after staying there I'm not sure where the complaints arise from. The hotel is very nice, very well kept, and just a short drive to any touristy areas you may want to go to. The area was very safe and I never thought twice about walking around late at night. Someone in a previous review complained the pool was indoor, however this is false, the pool is outdoor, located on the second floor. My only complaint would be the surprise valet only parking. It was a bit steep at $20/night and was a shock to see at first given it is not mentioned anywhere on the website. However, the valet guys were very nice, quick, and polite. All things considered, even with the extra $20/night, this hotel was worth every penny and I would highly recommend it. (I fell I should put a bit of a disclaimer though, if you're used to 5-star treatment and whatnot, then this isn't the hotel for you... If you're looking for a comfortable, convenient, clean place to stay then this is definitely recommended.)

Trip Type: With Friends Review 4 of 31Decent for price and location
It looks like it wants to be fancier than it is. Maintenance and upkeep is a bit lacking, although it is clean. Things are a little rickety, pillows are paper thin, etc. But it was far cheaper than anything else in the area and totally acceptable.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 6 of 31Decent for the money
Stayed here with a friend because we wanted to do the Hollywood thing and every dive motel in Hollywood was the same price er night as this anyway. Pretty close to West Hollywood, only about 4 miles away, pretty close to Dodger Stadium as well. Only beef is that when I booked the room, I had the option of a room with a king size bed or a room with two queen size beds. I picked the room with the two beds and when I get there to check in, the clerk tells me they don't have two doubles, only one king. I pull out my receipt that says what I booked and he gives me this "don't care, take it or leave it attitude". The room they gave us was right behind the elevator shaft so all night you hear their loud elevators running up and down, up and down. The room was clean and relatively close to stuff but the room was sort of uncomfortable, due to being loud from the elevator.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 7 of 31Needs improvement
Rooms are very small, esp. the bathroom. The door needs to be closed so one can sit in the toilet. There is mold or black dirt around bathroom sink faucet.Bed is very uncomfortable.Nice location.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 8 of 31Hotel Needs Help
I walked into the hotel and admired the lobby, only to go up to my room and see something that looked more like a motel 6. It was old, musty, cracks in the ceiling and not roomy or comfy at all. The toilet didn't flush, our phone didn't work, and neither did the air conditioner. My friends and I told the desk downstairs and nothing was ever taken care of. If you want a room close to the Wiltern you get one, but that is about it.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 9 of 31OK but rooms don't reflect price
Without exception, all of the hotel staff were very helpful & friendly but rooms definitely didn't reflect price or the rest of the hotel. Much smaller than expected with minimal furnishings. Expensive "exclusive" spa desperately needs to be updated. Massage therapists not required to be professionally trained, so you pay top dollar for very marginal massages. I would rate spa a 1 out of 10. Lobby, bars, etc. are beautiful & well maintained, so not bad if you don't need a big room or spa services.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 11 of 31Great Hotel
The hotel was nice. Their room service is only in the morning and stops ar 11 am... which is really unheard of and inconvenient. You have to pay for your car to be parked... they only offer valet service... It's $20 per night... ummm didn't I just pay for the hotel??!?!!! The plumbing in the shower was not good at all... I had to take a bath-n-shower because the water did not drain properly. Thank goodness I was only staying for one night or I woul dhave needed another room or the problem fixed in order for me to stay there... especially since the bathroom and room is small. Otherwise the hotel was nice. clean linen, clean and amazing hotel appearance adn the customer service was commendable. Great location.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 12 of 31Central Location and great price
Located on Wilshire, near Korea-town, you can get just about anywhere from here. Bus lines stop in front, the subway...yes, there is a subway in L.A... is right across the street (clean and safe) and Wilshire takes you in either direction to the beach, or Downtown. Couldn't top it for the price. Hotel could use a little TLC (water stain on the ceiling) but over all it was clean and quiet.

The hotel is clean and based upon former reviews, I expected not so much. I was pleasantly surprised. THe hotel staff was friendly, the pool is quiet and nice (and cold!) and the maids service kept room nice and clean. Overall, very satisfied with hotel and would recommend it. Only negative, far from the places to go.
