Trip Type: Romance Review 2 of 23do not stay at plaza hotel in los angeles
The hotel is not maintained at all. The A/C does not work, didnt get a new room until 8 pm even then A/C barely worked. The paints are cracking and falling apart. The furniture and carpets are worned down. This hotel barely meets the standards of a low end motel, truly does not meet the ratings on hotels dot com. Would I stay here at the price I paid, never. I've had better rooms and service at a motel6 than the plaza hotel on wilshire blvd. Dont waste your time and just skip this place.

Trip Type: Romance Review 4 of 23Needs serious Help
This hotel was on Wilshire but further away from the central part of LA than I expected. It is an automatic valet costing $20 a night. The lobby is gorgeous but thats about it. The elevators were very worn down they sounded like they were about to break any time we got in. They went up when we pushed a level below and visa-versa. The rooms were disgusting water damage all over the ceiling and carpets looked very dirty. Overall it was horrible.

Trip Type: Romance Review 5 of 23it was ok
it was nothing special, i think it was a little pricy, I think you can get cheaper hotels, quite frankly it was nothing out of this world. it is noisy because of the busy street, but that was fine for me since i am from ny.

Trip Type: Romance Review 6 of 23Just What We Needed
If you're looking for a nice, low-priced, and convenient hotel near down town L.A. this is it! About a 10 minute drive (with traffic) from the Staples Center, perfect for the weekend get-away to go see the Lakers play! We paid $20 and got valet service all day and night. This is so worth it, especially when you you get back from all of the fun and just want to crash. The hotel has everything you need, sweet lounge/bar by the lobby, and a breakfast stand where we were able to pick up coffee and bagels in the morning. There's even a fitness room and pool that we didn't even plan for! The service was nice and friendly. Hotel staff even asked about the game and shared a team-like attitude. Great business and we'll be sure to stay at the Wilshire again next time we're in LA!

Trip Type: Romance Review 7 of 23NOTICE: THEY CHARGE A MANDATORY $20 VALET
WASN'T VERY SATISFIED WITH MY STAY. THEY CHARGE $20 TO PARK YOUR VEHICLE (WHICH GIVES YOU NO OTHER CHOICE- THEY DON'T HAVE GENERAL PARKING STRUCTURE)- AND ON TOP OF THAT, THE ROOM WAS OUTDATED AND ESPECIALLY THE RESTROOM---TO BE HONEST THE HOTEL HAS A CREEPY VIBE TO IT. DON'T THINK IT WAS WORTH THE MONEY

Trip Type: Romance Review 9 of 23Great Deal
The staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The staff assisted me with a small problem that arose. The room was amazing with an outstanding view of the city. The only downside I saw to the Wilshire Plaza Hotel was parking. $20 valet parking was high priced and by the time I had checked in I was just ready to just park and go up to my room. Weather there was additional available parking I do not know for myself, though I was informed there was no other parking.

Trip Type: Romance Review 10 of 23THE WORST HOTEL I HAVE EVER, STAYED IN, PERIOD
AT FIRST I WAS EXCITED WHEN I SAW HOW CLOSE IT WAS TO THE CONCERT WE WERE GOING TO. AND WAS REALLY TRILLED WITH THE LOBBY. I TOLD MYSELF WELL IF THE LOBBY LOOKS LIKE THIS THEN THE ROOM SHOULD BE THE SAME. NOW WHEN I BOOKED THE ROOM I DIDNT REALIZE THAT I BOOKED A SMOKING ON ACCIDENT. AND WHEN I CHECKED IN THE RECEPTIONIST LET ME KNOW IT WAS. I DIDNT THINK ANYTHING OF IT SEEING HOW I DONT SMOKE, BUT WOULD SOON SEE THAT THIS WAS THE BIGGEST MISTAKE IF THE EVENING. AS SOON AS WE STEPED OUT OF THE ELEVATOR IT SMELLED LIKE BOOZE HAD BEEN POURED OUT ON THE FLOORS AND CIGGARETTE SMOKE FILLED THE AIR IN A WAY LIKE I HAD NEVEER EXPERIENCED BEFORE. THE CARPET IN THE HALLWAYS LEADING UP TO THE ROOM WERE EXTREAMLY FILTHY AND HAD MANY BLACK STAINS. AND THIS WAS VALENTINES DAY SO IT WAS ME AND MY GIRL FRIEND WALKING IN SO YOU CAN IMAGINE HOW I FELT. WE GET IN THE ROOM AND I IMMEDIATELY FELT LIKE I WAS ZAPPED BACK IN TIME TO THE 70'S. THERE WERE CIGGARETTE BURNS ON THE CARPET AND THE CARPET SMELLED LIKE SMOKE. I MEAN JEEZ, DONT THESE PEOPLE KNOW WHAT DEODORIZING AND OPENING WINDOWS MEANS. WHEN WE FUNALLY GOT BACK FROM OUR CONCERT LATER THAT EVENING WHEN SLEPT AND ALL THREW OUT THE NIGHT I WAS REALLY ICHY, YUCK. WHEN I GOT IN THE SHOWER, I LEARNED THAT IT DIDNT WORK!!!!!!! AT THIS POINT I DIDNT CARE ANYMORE, I DIDNT WANT TO COMPLAIN I JUST WANTED TO GET OUT AND GO HOME. SO, I GOT ON MY KNEES AND RAN THE BATH WATER IN THE TUB, AND GOT CLEAN LIKE THAT. MY GIRL DID THE SAME. WHEN I EXITED THE TUB, THE STEAM FILLED ROOM SMELLED LIKE, SMOKE. NOW TO TOP IT ALL OFF, WHEN I CHECKED OUT THEY TRIED TO HIT ME WITH A 19 DOLLAR ROOM SERVICE CHARGE? WHAT? WE WERE OUT ALL EVENING!!! BEWARE! DO, NOT, STAY HERE EVER!!!

Trip Type: Romance Review 11 of 23Great room for the money
It was cheap, and i got the third night free. Its a old hotel and needs a little work. The location was great. My only complaint would be the $20 a night parking fee.
