Trip Type: With Friends Review 1 of 21It was a comfortable stay
I enjoyed our stay very much. The room wasn't that big but it was very comfortable. The staff was very friendly. I would stay here again.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 2 of 21Great hotel for price and location
Hotel Angeleno is situated right off of the 405 highway and Sunset Blvd. It's a landmark round and tall building off of the highway. The hotel is beautifully decorated, and the service was terrific. The top floor's restaurant had an amazing view of the highway and outlying city and even more amazing food. The only down side is since it is right off the highway, it, not surprisingly, has all the highway traffic noise. Although the noise seemed to lull me to sleep rather than disturb it, for I slept soundly.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 4 of 21Nice but...
The physical hotel is well worth experiencing. Its great location, great in house amenities, and beautiful views make it a beautiful place to stay. But, the service personnel suck. The hotel only allows valet parking, but doesn't place any signage to let you know. We decided to park ourselves, had started to walk with our bags to the lobby when we were stopped by a valet who let us know that our car needed to be checked. So we had to walk back, pack our stuff back in the car, drive back to the front of the hotel...sucked. We arrived in the lobby around 4pm (normal check in time for most hotels) and found no one at the front desk or in the lobby to help us. We waited 10-15 minutes before being helped with check in by a person who made no attempt to be friendly with us. Later, we went to WEST (the restaurant on the top floor) to have dinner. Once again we hung out about 5-10 minutes at the reservation desk waiting to be seated. We eventually had to wander into the kitchen to ask for help. The host came out, gave us a mild greeting (think an underwhelmed "hey guys..."), asked how many were in our party, then informed us the restaurant wasn't open yet and it would be a 10 minute wait. We wandered into the lounge, which was the best part of that dining experience. Our bartender was fast, informative about the area, and friendly. The rest of the dining experience was alright, but not worth the $16 cost for my burger. They forgot to bring part of our meal and made no attempt to address it. The wine list was provided, and when I tried to order a couple of glasses for our table, the waiter then told us most of the wine was unavailable and we'd only know if our choices were unavailable after we ordered it. He came back a couple times to get a new choice from me. The next morning, we were woken up 3 times by room cleaning staff who were checking to see if we were still in the room. They knocked on our door at 8:00, 8:30, and 10:30. This was strange and irritating because

Trip Type: With Friends Review 5 of 21Highly recommend it!
Arrived the day of a brush fire in the area and was not allowed access by vehicle due to fire containment area. Called the hotel while in traffic and was re-routed to the hotel across the street whom they had made parking arrangements with for us who could not drive into the hotel parking itself. Both Hotels, Hotel Angeleno and The Vive, were very courteous and professional during the stressful event. Was helped across the street with my luggage by Management and handed a bottle of much needed water at the check-in counter. Early the next morning the valet on duty went across to the other hotel to obtain my car for me. This hotel was FIRST CLASS all the way from arrival to departure. Thank you to all I came in contact with.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 9 of 21Great room for the money
This hotel is very easy to reach and located close to Highway 405. The constant noise from the highway could be anoying but for us it was no big deal. The skybar on the 17th floor overs a 360° view and is just beautiful. They charge you $18 extra per day for their parking service and this rate is not included in the room rate. The service quality was good and the bed was really comfortable. I didn't expect that high standard and we are totaly satisfied with our stay in L.A. To be continue....

Trip Type: With Friends Review 10 of 21Really good deal
By booking this hotel through hotels.com I saved almost $100 by paying half of the price. It is a very chic, clean, upscale hotel that I will definitely go to again.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 11 of 21Friendly staff / Expensive parking
Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful as soon as I arrived. Only had valet parking available ($18 a nite), or park on the streets (2 hours at a time I think...unless its a weekend). Room was clean and bed was really really comfortable.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 12 of 21Over-Rated Hotel
This hotel has very unprofessional front desk staffs. The check in time is 3pm, but at 3:30pm, it was still not cleaned. They said they needed to inspect it first, but they did not have time since they had a meeting. This is a very unprofessional excuse. They gave us a full size bed room and the TV was old and making strange noises time to time. I will definitely not going back to this hotel or refer this hotel to anyone.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 15 of 21Great Location
The constant freeway noise was somewhat anoying but it was forseeable since it overlooks one of the major L.A. freeways. The only complaint would have to be the parking where I waited on two ocasions for valet to bring my car for over 15 minutes since there was only one employee and on top of that he misplaced my keys. I felt sorry for the guy since he had to jugle with so many people waiting to park and for pickup.
