Would stay there again!

This hotel was in a convinient place for me, close to many things around L.A The decor was beautiful and very "IN" The bed was comfortable and room service was a plus. The only reason I gave it a 4 out of 5 is because the shower would fluctuate from hot to cold water and by the time my boyfriend got in only extremly hot water came out. But I would stay there again. Maybe the next time the shower will be fine.

Cute little room

The room and hotel were great. The room is a little small but it wasn't that big of a deal. The hotel is right off the 405 so when you open your sliding door to check out the view, you get a nice ear full of traffic, but once it's closed I could not even hear it. There was a little fire behind the hotel by the Getty Center and the Fire Dept blocked the entrance to the hotel which we thought we couldn't get into and they had the hotel manager out by the street answering our questions so we knew we could get in after traveling through the two hour traffic jam. They were great.

Great hotel....will definately go back

I booked a room here as a surpurise for my boyfriend for his birthday. He was definately surprised and we enjoyed our stay. The staff was nice and room was great. We will definately come back.

Sleep well in LA

Very nicely appointed rooms, it was perfect! Incredibly convinient location.

Surprisingly Disappointing

I write this review as I sit on one of the Hotel Angeleno's wonderful king-sized beds. We're not even done with our stay here, but after trying to ignore mistake after mistake -- the issues persist. The interior of the hotel is well appointed, don't get me wrong -- but never have I experienced such thoughtless service and haphazard management. NEVER. When we settled into our room and I was finally ready to shower, the bathroom was devoid of shampoo, conditioner, and soap. Had to call and ask for it. We called guest services while away from the hotel to ask for the nearest grocery store, and were told that if we drove either direction on Sunset we would hit a Ralph's. Well, we drove down sunset through Bel Air, through Beverly Hills, and into Hollywood, and could have kept going all the way to Echo Park when I realized that the guest services representative we spoke with could have been wrong. We called again, and I was then given insanely phrased directions via telephone to where the aforementioned Ralph's was to be found. It required several turns off of Sunset!!!! How this woman expected that saying "drive either way on Sunset and you'll hit one" would be sufficient information for us to find this place is beyond me. We spent 45 minutes finding a place that was probably 10 minutes from the hotel, and didn't get so much as an apology or thank you for your patience type remark. When we returned to our room after this fiasco, housekeeping had replaced our sheets -- but our (and I will list) Coffee Shampoo Conditioner Soap and Bathrobes had not been replaced! Called for those too, but neglected to notice the bathrobes were missing. When we did finally notice, the telephone in our room conveniently stopped working. I walked to the lobby and asked for the supervisor (again -- I had politely informed him of his staff's poor directions and subsequent waste of my time) -- it was the same guy. Great hotel for the trip

Excellent hotel in a great section of L.A. The noise from the 405 can be a bit much but the room was pretty much sound proof. Has a small balcony to smoke on if you wish.

Happy surprise in Los Angeles

Hotel Angeleno is a recently remodeled hotel, very convenient to Santa Monica, West LA, Beverly Hills, as well as the San Diego Freeway. Decor, cleanliness, and service were all fine. Our rate was markedly more reasonable than equivalent properties in the area. Customers should be aware that valet parking for about $18 per night is required.

nice hotel but very noisy

nicely decorated hotel with friendly service. but it is too close to the high way. very noisy at night. definitly not for those who might have difficulty sleeping at night.
