    I booked this hotel strictly for an overnight stay, with no great expectations regarding the hotel or the neighborhood. This hotel is situated right off the freeway (I-10), a sprawling, older complex (3 separate 2-story buildings, I recall), with exterior stairs and walkways. The rooms use the older "swiss cheese" looking plastic key cards. The fact that there are no elevators might be of some concern to those with a second-floor room and heavy luggage, though in fairness, I noticed a large number of parking spaces for the disabled, whom I assume would be given a first-floor room if requested. The room (and the complex in general) appeared recently renovated, and was clean and well-maintained. Staff was very courteous, and called my room shortly after check-in to make sure things were all right. All in all, I was pleasantly surprised.

    My mattress was old and lumpy. Room was clean. Friendly staff. Poorly lit parking lots, but did see a security guard both nights.
