Description
See more detailsThe Marl Inn Bed & Breakfast is located in historic Yorktown, Va., where George Washington's army won the last battle of the American Revolution. The restored village of Yorktown, which offers museums, restaurants and unique shops, is one-half block away. Yorktown's beach and the Riverwalk Landing along the York River are two blocks away. The 13-mile Colonial National Historic Parkway, which links Yorktown with Williamsburg and Jamestown, is an attractive route for touring, either by car or bicycle.
This Colonial-style home, built in 1978, is set on a half-acre lot originally surveyed in 1691, and is surrounded by a white-picket fence. Complimentary breakfasts are served in the dining room or on the back patio, including specialties such as Crab Benedict, buttermilk biscuits and banana bread. Fax service and a computer station with complimentary Internet access are available. The inn offers a library, breezeway sitting area, back patio and garden, and a barbecue grill for guests' use. Complimentary bicycles are available for guests to tour the village, battlegrounds and museums nearby.
Guestrooms and suites at the Marl Inn Bed & Breakfast feature private bathrooms and outside private entrances. The rooms offer cable television and VCRs. A video library is available. Select suites include sitting areas with sofas and full kitchens with stoves, refrigerators and microwave ovens. Decor in the guestrooms reflects a Colonial theme with contemporary accents.
