    I was disappointed in the room. The wall paper was peeling off and decor was overdone. We faced a cement wall. We would either find a bed and breakfast, another hotel or take the bus home.

    The hotel is very nice and the folks are friendly. We got upgraded to a first class room with a spa tube. Food was good also.

Location. The Isle of Capri Blackhawk in Black Hawk, Colo., boasts gaming action and tropical ambience amid the scenic Rocky Mountains. The property is four miles from the Roosevelt National Forest and seven miles from Clear Creek River Rafting.

Hotel Features. Calypso's hosts buffet-style breakfasts, lunches and dinners, while Farraday's presents steak and seafood in a casual setting. Tradewinds Market Place serves deli sandwiches, pizza and burgers, and Kitt's Beach Bar and Grill boasts jerk chicken dishes, seafood and icy refreshments. Conference rooms are provided and recreational amenities include a nightclub and casino.

Guestrooms. The 238 guestrooms and suites host a mix of whitewashed wood furniture, desks, ceiling fans, colorful, framed landscapes, pale walls and bedspreads in bright, tropical hues. Some accommodations include French doors which open to mountain views, while all feature cable television with premium channels, video game consoles and dial-up Internet access.
