Comfort Inn Mayport

We booked 3 rooms and my parents also booked a room at this hotel and the overall unanimous conclusion was that the rooms were dirty, there was little or no maid service, garbage was scattered about the grounds, the rooms were poorly maintained and there was construction going on with hoses, equipment and boxes blocking the stairways and walkways. We were all very very disappointed! We have travelled and continue to travel around the world constantly and I can honestly say that staying in a hut in Zimbabwe was a better experience that staying at the Comfort Inn Mayport. Buyer beware!

We got to our room late at night, around 10:30 PM and we noticed that the rug had not been vacuumed, the toilet had cleaner in it but had not been flushed and when we turned down the beds the sheets were dirty ( hair, sand on them) The night manager gave us anther room, non-smoking, on the third floor. As soon as we got into the room our eyes started watering and we both commented that the room smelled like somebody had been smoking in here. I went back downstairs to complain and the manger gave us anther room on the third floor. When we opened that room, we saw that there were no sheets on the bed and the blanket was balled up and laying on the table. Back downstairs (no elevator), tried to get my money back to no avail, got my 4th room on the third floor and was ok except the rug had terrible stains. We got to bed well after midnight, exhausted from the ordeal and the long day. We had stayed here before with no trouble but we will not be back.
