    First room smelt like urine so bad that I didn't even enter it. My friend is a hunter. I know this smell it is deer urine used for tracking deer. It was hunting season. The smell was overwhelming! We were moved to another room 2nd Room Heating was inadaquate (a AC unit that was also supposed to heat as well, it didn't) The beds were hard (even the kids complained at bed time) we didn't sleep much and woke achey. Pillows even harder The bottom sheets were not fitted sheets they were top sheets that continually came off to reveal a very stained mattress (Thankfully we had sleeping bags in the truck!) There was no toilet paper (not even an empty roll) I sent my son in to shower before bed and he came out saying he didn't want to stand on the floor of the bathroom could I put a towel down please it felt slimey without his socks. (he's 8 and would go for weeks without a shower if I let him) For him to notice this goes to show how slimey it felt. BEWARE there are no refunds even if your room is this bad!We had to pay for a room at another hotel also for the second night. We unfortunately couldn't get accomodations elsewhere for the first night.

The Travelodge Great Barrington in Great Barrington, Mass., is near local ski slopes and the close to popular Berkshire theaters. The Butternut Basin Ski Area is within two miles of the lodge. Catamount ski is within nine miles. The Berkshire theater district, which includes venues for operas, plays and musicals, is within five miles.
